I was passing through Clarion on a road trip across Pennsylvania and needed a quick place to grab a bite. I came across Bob’s Sub Shop and I’m so glad I stopped in. I got the spicy Italian sub and it was absolutely incredible. The flavor was on point and the portion was super generous. Plus, the prices can’t be beat. Definitely a hidden gem worth checking out if you’re in the area!

This week was my 4th visit to this sandwich shop in Clarion over the last ~4 years – I only come about once per year, and yesterday I was reminded just how fantastic the sandwiches are at this location. When traveling across the country to visit family, I specifically plan my trip to come to this location when traveling on I-80. The chicken salad is fantastic, and the additions of a toasted bun and Italian dressing are surprisingly key to this fantastic experience. I hope to return for many more years.

Dude. Different location same quality subs. Just like I remember them 50 years ago. Absolutely the best. I visit my father who lives in Scotch Hill and every time I leave there, my last stop is Bob’s Sub. Love it!

Subs are okay, but I definitely don’t recommend their salads especially for their price. I ordered a large ham salad. It’s thinly sliced ham (okay that’s fine) but in addition to that just a couple slices of tomatoes and a little provolone cheese. I paid like $12 + for this and had to pay an additional $.50 for a spoon of black olives lol. I tipped because I didn’t want to be rude, someone still worked on this but… yeah don’t recommend their salads.

It was my husband and I’m 1st time here and it was a great experience. The subs were DELICIOUS from the slightly toasted buns to the really flavorful meat, cheese and veggies! Everyone working there that day were very friendly and helpful! We definitely will be returning!!
