I don’t understand any reviews of El Chef under 5 stars. It was wonderful! The food was delicious and hot right off the griddle. I recommend the eggs with chilies, and add grilled onions. The waitress was super sweet and attentive. If we’re ever in Douglas AZ again, we’re heading here!

Great menu options for food and drinks. Great atmosphere and decor. Great service. Food comes out quickly and piping hot! The menu is more traditional Mexican breakfast/lunch/dinner items. They have amazing traditional Mexican/no Mexican cold and hot beverages. It is a restaurant on the smaller side in a small town and we were a group of 15. They did not hesitate to try their best to accommodate us. Our server Michelle was amazing. She made no errors, dealt with all the kids in our party in an amazing way and was on top of everything. The owners are always there as well so you get that little extra personal touch of “home” when you arrive.

They overcharged and didn’t put accurate information on the bill. The actual price on the menu vs what we paid was 12 dollar difference. If it wasn’t for having some business associates I would have been speaking with management. I expected better from this place after reading the reviews. Never coming here again. Overall the food was ok. Not bad but not great. I’ve had better at Taco Bell.

Very pleased with everything, our service, the food, and the cleanliness.
We are vegan, didn’t see anything w/o meat on the menu, we asked our server if there was something we could get w/o meat. She readily gave us some ideas. We ended up getting tostados. When she brought them to us, she wanted to make sure we approved! They were delicious. We ended up going back the next day!
