Really enjoyed trying this restaurant. This location has been several different restaurants over the years but I hope this one sticks around. The food was really good and the staff was very attentive. Our waitress only spoke Spanish, which is always a good sign for a Mexican restaurant but she also had another waiter with her if you need someone that speaks English. The margarita was nice and strong and the tea tasted fresh (big deal for me). Would definitely recommend this place for some tasty Mexican food.

They need to remove the old menu pictures. I thought I was about to pay 26.99 for chicken fajitas for 2. Turned out to be over 50 with tax.
Beans has bacon that is way too smoky in them which makes them taste like bbq beans. Small portions of rice and beans. Chicken flavor was good but a bit dry. Did not come with any lime wedges. Only thing that was actually good was the mild green salsa, very flavorful.

The staff are friendly and fast and the restaurant is clean! The food is really tasty TexMex. Cheese enchiladas are the best around, and don’t have to be buried under a heavy meat gravy for flavor. The beans are really good and the rice is flavorful, tender and not dried out. The chips are light and crispy. Red salsa is really good, however the green sauce needs a little something. I have eaten at El Charro for over 20yrs and the Cypress location is the nicest by far.

Gabriel greeted us with a smile. Joanna served us some Happy Hour beverages. The atmosphere at the bar is spacious and inviting. Great place to meet new friends and hang out with old ones. The fajitas and enchiladas were fresh, and portion size was Texas worthy. With no wait for lunch or Happy Hour, this place is great for families. They also have plenty of space for large groups. Also, the prices are competitive and not out of hand like other big name franchise Mexican Restaurants. We will be going back often.

I ate here today now and this food was so amazing ! I was looking for food after leaving the hospital and the smell called me. lol I went in and this place is beautiful and clean and the food touched all my taste buds of what I wanted! The staff were kind and sweet. Coming and and leaving I enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant and I suggest you try it!! you will not be disappointed at all!

Came here to eat dinner and enjoy a bridal shower for a friend. I got the El Charro dinner and a Grand Gold margarita. My entree was massive and fantastic, so I can see why it’s named after the restaurant! And that margarita tasted good and got me GOOD! I drank half of it before my entree came, and I was having a blast!! Complimentary chips and salsa are always appreciated, so shout out for that. Service is super friendly and awesome 🙂

Everything here was delicious and reasonably priced. The carne asada had such great flavor and the taste of the salsas give a amazing stone roasted hint. There are so many great selections.
The staff is friendly and the is casual. I would definitely recommend for a family outing or relaxed evening with friends.
Bathrooms are clean and parking is plentiful.

Waiters, drink guy always efficient & friendly, great food, this place should be busier. A large queso [cheese] dip for the free chips is way too expensive though; the dinner plates are typical prices.

Great service, delicious food, and great atmosphere. I chose the Enchiladas Al Carbon which had cheddar cheese gravy on top with chicken Fajita and it was an incredible and unique taste. I recommend it, this was my first and definitely not last time here. Keep up the great service.
