My favorite spot for breakfast! They are delicious, consistent, and always friendly. We come from Rio Rancho to eat here when we can because their salsa is the best! Especially paired with the best steak fingers in town. And the beans…. they are so flavorful, my favorite by far and not greasy. If you go on the weekend, go early! But definitely worth any wait. It’s our family’s favorite spot to eat breakfast.

We have been wanting to try El Charritos for years. We finally got the opportunity to try. The atmosphere was very nice. The lady that took the order at the front desk was very nice. She’s the owner. The servers, could have been more friendly and more attentive. We got cheese enchiladas with both red and green chile. The red and green chile are phenomenally good. That chile hit the spot. My friend enjoyed her taco. I had a chile relleno. It was good. It was very different than what I’m used to in a good chile relleno. If I go back, I don’t think I’d get that again. I do want to go back and try their other items. It was a fun day.

It is an interesting setup. You pay first at the greeters desk before taking your seat and getting served. That means at busy times you may have a bit of a wait as that area is small and you might not get into the door right away, and seating may be limited during busy times. Food was good, and delivered relatively promptly.

The food is glorious. The service was alright. The waitress was cool she was attentive to refills & made sure we felt welcome. Atmosphere, well it was packed, (arrived in around 2) this place is popular.
What I didn’t like about this place is having to use the menue upon entry & waiting in the crowded foyer. Shoulder to shoulder no one was wearing a mask & was just ridiculous.
Overall, gonna be ordering our food to go next time.

I and my brother came here after other restaurants were full up and boy am I glad. The red chile was hot, creamy, not watery. The beans delicious. Combo plate was huge and I ordered the small one. I was so content eating here. My brother was sweating up a storm loving every minute of it. We’ll definitely go back and i can say the food here is in one of the top three NM food restaurants here in Albquerque!! Check it out.

The food was absolutely amazing, huge plates, deliciously cooked, pretty sure it’s a family owned business and the family is super friendly to the customers!! First time eating there and will be definitely be back! My new favorite spot! I got the red chili beef enchiladas with an egg and my boyfriend got a Xmas carne asada sopapilla and they were both delicious! One plates enough for 2!!

Great place to dine in. Had the combo and loved it. Mum had a salad and loved it as well. Load of decent grub for a low price. Place was clean and staff were wonderful.
Will come back! Certainly worth a stop in if you’re in the area. Also do take aways.

My BFF and I stopped in here. Pros: huge portions for your money. The combo plates are quite large. The service was efficient and very friendly. The sopapillas were sooooo good! I liked the enchilada and the taco. The beans were very good as well, and they were fine with my having all beans instead of beans and rice. Cons: the “milder” chile was too hot for me. I’ve lost a lot of my spice tolerance, but I just dipped my fork to taste and drank all my water. The tamal was a little dry, but lots of meat in it. I would have preferred a squeeze bottle of honey instead of the little cups, they were rather messy. Still, pretty good if you’re really hungry.
