So our group decided to meet her on Mother’s Day to celebrate. There wasn’t a reservation option but we arrived at about 9:10 am and received a wait time of 1 hour. As time ticked away, we overheard the hostess tell another party that they only have 3 large tables to fit bigger parties of more than 4 people. Hearing this, we also realized that they just sat two big parties and clearing a table for another party. Now those 3 tables are taken so we’re going to have to wait even longer for those parties to leave. There’s a 90 time limit also so knowing this that we’d be waiting even longer than the initial hour…. We left and would not suggest this place for large parties. The facility itself is very small with a limited brunch menu from what I saw when I walked around as they also seemed understaffed.

After I read the reviews, I knew I wanted to try it. The outside was great. When you walked in, there was a lot that needed to be updated. The silverware was in an open bin right when you walked in. They just grab utensils and sit you. You should figure out what you want before because if you don’t know, you will wait a long time before the waiter comes back. It was not overly busy, so I’m not sure what the issue was.
The food was very good as well as the iced tea. I’m a tea snob.

Finally tried this restaurant and was happy with our visit. It’s a highly recommend restaurant and is usually really busy. We must have gotten lucky because we were seated right away. Our waiter was great and the atmosphere was cool. My wife liked her food and mine was good. I look forward to going back again. They have a full bar so that’s nice too! 2 entrees and 4 margaritas came out to a little over $80 bucks which I think is a good price for a full meal and a few drinks in a fun atmosphere.

We El Cerritos wasn’t able to park close enough to the Rancho one on Baseline. We decided to drive to the Archibald one instead. We had front row parking close to the restaurant. Right now I need to park close because of hip issues.
When we arrived, we were greeted with a friendly, hostess and our server. She also works at the other El Cerrito on Baseline too.
She took our drink orders right away and brought our drinks quickly.
After a few minutes, she took our order. Honey at their taco Tuesday plate and I had their carne asada plate. Both were good and hot.
I would recommend this place besides the Baseline one too. They are only a few blocks away from each other.

This is a must stop whenever my fiancé and I come visit family in California. We’ve never had a bad meal.
The interior of the restaurant is warm and welcoming. I feel like some Mexican restaurants have a cold, cafeteria feeling to them with a big board that you order at. Even though it’s not expensive, it still feels like you’re getting a nicer meal.
The food itself is always hot and prepared great. I really recommend the shrimp and steak burrito.

I had a disappointing experience at this Mexican restaurant. The service was absolutely terrible— the front desk staff were arrogant and rude, which made the whole visit uncomfortable. On top of that, the table we were seated at was dirty, and it wasn’t cleaned properly before we sat down. Overall, the atmosphere was unwelcoming, and it really affected the dining experience. I won’t be returning.

I don’t know how I slept on this place for so long, I’ve been driving by it for years without thinking twice. Then I saw a friend of mine post pictures of going here so I figured I would try it out. Located in a small strip mall near Archibald and baseline this unassuming spot is a must try. I came here with my daughter, we were greeted and sat down and promptly served chips and Salsa which were outstanding and very fresh. My daughter ordered the carnitas which were served with beans and rice and freshly made flour tortillas. I ordered the molcahete torasco which was a large portion of carne asada, marinated chicken, chorizo, bacon wrapped shrimp in a savory sauce this was absolutely delicious. I am so happy to have finally tried El Cerritos and can’t wait to go back and try other dishes, if you are in rancho cucamonga give them a try you will be pleasantly surprised.

Lovely service, guacamole made in front of you for customization. Food was absolutely amazing, birria has never been so good! Theirs was juicy even without consomé! And the place was decorated beautifully, loved every aspect of this place! Came with my family of 7, seated very fast even when it was busy.
