Great atmosphere, very clean inside, and love the decor. Good music! The quality & flavor of the food was excellent with dishes you wouldn’t find at most Mexican restaurants. Love that it is family owned and authentic. This will be our new go to local Mexican restaurant.

Had a wonderful dinner with friends on a Saturday night here! We sat on the patio and we’re served promptly! The service was really great, not over bearing but never went without something we needed. Food was delicious and portions were large. Will happily return for a great meal!

Cute restaurant decor. Salsa was mild and not my favorite. Asked for the hot one from the kitchen which was much better. Margarita was not good. Tasted like a mix. Ordered enchiladas suizas which were very good. I did find the prices high. $19 for enchiladas was a new one for me. There leg up on donkey is serving rice and beans but I just wish margaritas were as good as donkey.

New place in town! Didn’t know what to expect but it was exceptional! Walked in and was quickly seated by a pleasant host. The waitress was cute and attentive. Chips and salsa were great and refilled automatically when they got low.

We were pumped to see the deck fully renovated and the frozen margaritas exactly as we’d hoped. The food was fresh and prepared perfectly. We ordered the fajitas, a California burrito (spicy) and multiple frozen guava margaritas. The staff was attentive and confident in their menu. Perfect neighborhood Tex-Mex spot, will be there often.

The food at El Cerrito was fantastic! We ordered the kids quesadilla with steak – it came with rice and beans too – the beans were super flavorful and so was the rice! I had the stuffed poblano and a shredded beef taco that were both DELICIOUS! I do have my preferences in salsa and guacamole – those two things are usually my “test” of any Mexican restaurant. The salsa tasted so fresh and the guacamole was very smooth and creamy – both were delish. Thanks El Cerrito!

First time trying El Cerrito Cocina Mexicana and all four of us thought that the food, atmosphere, and service were excellent. We each had different items (taco salad, fajitas, burritos, and chiles poblanos) that had great flavor and were plentiful. The chips and salsa that came out were well done (make sure you ask for the spicy salsa!). Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu, had suggestions, and made us feel welcome throughout the meal. We’ll absolutely be back.

We want to like this place with all our hearts, but all three times we have dined here we have been underwhelming. The staff has been amazing but the food is just mediocre. I paid $17 for a taco salad that barely had salad, no cheese, and was the size of a small cereal bowl. I hope they take this review to heart and work to make changes. There’s so many great choices for food in Eastown and mediocre just won’t make it.
