Ate dinner here tonight for the first time. Saw ad on Facebook Marketplace and was going to be right across the street for some other shopping and thought I would check out there Taco Tuesday special. I got the 3 for $6.00 special. Of the 3, the chicken was my least favorite. Nothing really wrong with it, I just liked the other two better. Had great service while I was there. And honestly, I don’t know why they were not busier, maybe I was there too early. I’ll be back on a weekend to try one of their weekend specials.

The service was outstanding! The food was delicious and the margaritas were amazing! The atmosphere and decor are a mix of modern and traditional with beautiful hand painted murals on the wall. Loved celebrating Mother’s Day with the live Mariachi performance. We had a great time and will definitely be going back! Great for large groups and everyone in our party was seated very quickly.

I had high expectations. To start off with the positives; the food was very fresh, the service was good, everything was clean. Where they fell short; lights are too bright and the food is not authentic. I ordered the vegetarian enchiladas they skimped on the cheese and guac and the green sauce. The rice reminded me of bens 90 second rice and the refried beans were watery. Overall the meal left me feeling unsatisfied. If you are used to high quality authentic Mexican this is not the spot.

We have been here 3x so far. I’ll be honest first time the food was ok. We did go late and they had recently opened, so we gave it another chance. The second time the food was good, not great, but we had a good time with their margarita dispenser. The third time, the food was outstanding. We went the third time to try the birria tacos. They only serve them on Saturdays and Sunday. We ordered those, taco salad, and chimichanga. (Not pictured) Everything was so delicious. We love the atmosphere. The walls are all hand painted, and the plates and drinks they serve out of are also handmade and painted. Great local restaurant. I definitely recommend checking it out.

We finally found a good restaurant near our house that feels authentic and has good vibes. I loved their decor, the artwork is fabulous and the clay lotería theme mug was beautiful. I ordered mole and it was yummy. The prices are good, and I enjoyed their margaritas. Can’t wait to come back.

This is a medium-large sized restaurant located on the side of a big plaza in Greenacres.
Parking may be difficult to find right in front of the restaurant, but there is plenty in the rest of the plaza.

They have a decent size bar on the right side of the entrance, and a big dining room with modern furniture but typical Mexican colorful paintings on the walls.

Since we live in the area, we were looking forward to their grand opening, and we came here one afternoon during the week to check their HH, but we found out that (unfortunately) they only run it for a few drinks.

As soon as you sit they bring you tortilla chips with a couple of sauces, which were a little bland to be honest.
The margarita was also just ok, but to be fair, I haven’t found a place yet that makes great margaritas.

We ordered tacos with chorizo and al pastor: I liked that they are “simple” (the filling consists of just meat, onions and cilantro – no cheeses or other stuff that doesn’t have anything to do with authentic tacos), but the meats were just ok. Actually, the chorizo was almost tasteless.

At the suggestion of our bartender (who was really friendly and helpful) we also ordered Chicken Tamales. The chicken was a little bit bland, but I never had tamales before, so I can’t really judge them.

Their portions are big and prices are decent, and we had decided to go back to them from time to time for HH on their Taco-Tuesday. I had also already decided to give them 3 stars on my review until… Cinco de Mayo happened.

That day we stopped there for a Margarita on our way back home: it was still HH time and we were curious to see how they were celebrating the day and what specials they had planned.
It was just almost 6:30pm, the restaurant was almost full (maybe that’s why they were offering drinks in plastic glasses only?), nothing particular was going on, but they did run a “special” indeed: the HH had been cancelled “for the Cinco de Mayo only”!

I won’t question the reasons behind that business decision, but what really got me upset is that there was no sign about that change anywhere, the menu still had the HH days+prices on it (they could have crossed them – or done something similar to make people understand that there was no HH that day), and even when I ordered the drinks, I wasn’t told about that.

We only found out when we noticed that we were billed the full price ($10.99 per Margarita) instead of the HH price ($6.99) and reached out to the waitress thinking that it was an honest mistake.

Yes, we could have “fought” those charges but… why bother and ruin a day? At the end we only “lost” $10 combined, but the restaurant lost 2 customers who were already planning to visit again.

This place has a great atmosphere and very friendly staff. The layout is smart and can accommodate larger parties without having to wait. The art on the walls and bar are nicely done and food is amazing! On the weekends they even sell Berria queso tacos! We had the burrito queso dip, birria tacos, chips and queso, and Carrasco. Food came very quickly and were large portions. We will definitely be putting this place into our rotation. Music in the background is nice and varied, but not too loud like some places. Prices were also very good. We are glad we found this place as you can pass it by if your not paying attention.

Ok haven’t been in a Good Tex mex cantina in a while till I found El Centenario. Wow excellent vibe chill atmosphere and superb food and cocktails. Had their house margarita with Casa Amigos Resposado and the chicken cilantro salad. 5 stars the chicken was moist and tender and veggies were fresh. The whole place was excellent. This place is must if in the area.
