Hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant! The owner is always friendly and makes conversation with us at the bar area our go to spot. He was even super nice to let me pick out my choice of free shot for my birthday. Staff is great too! Food is always fresh and authentic! Their street tacos are the best! So yummy I love their margaritas and drinks too

This place is great- favorite in the area by a long shot, when we want Mexican we’d rather spend our money here than in any city. Salsa notes- table salsa is mild & always has fresh herbs. Green is piquant, flavorful, and a little spicy. Red is fiendish, sadistic, and worth ordering for anyone who likes real heat.
The furniture is unique and interesting- it’s fun to sit at the different tables on return visits and enjoy the art.

Drove an hour to town from Iowa City to get my boots resoled at the cobbler across the street. To kill some time I came for lunch and am so pleasantly surprised. Being from California my taco standards are high. This place had perfect carnitas, on delicious warm corn tortillas. Hot tasty salsa, and rice and beans on a warm plate, just how they should be. I wonder if I have more shoes that need fixin? 🙂 Oh, also the music is so good

Food and service were top notch! If you like some spicy salsa, make sure to ask for it! So flavorful! I had a fresh watermelon margarita and my husband had the Hawaiian margarita and both were extremely good! One of the owners was there and he was kind enough to bring us dessert and a shot of tequila on the house for our anniversary! A new spot for us to road trip to for sure!

Stopped in at lunchtime today for the first time. Beautiful on the inside. I love the colorful tables & chairs! The man I interacted with was really friendly and helpful. He was so nice! I made a large order to go and everything was accurate. They didn’t miss a thing! I ordered a variety of items for the whole family. The Mexican hamburger and fries were very good. It’s very unexpected that they have such great fries! The ground beef burritos were great, and so were the Chimichangas. Everything was delicious but I’ve gotta say – the tortas! Wow! Soooo good! I tried a bite of my son’s Chorizo torta and it was so delicious but I think my item was the best of all – the Carnitas Torta. It’s the only picture I thought to get so I’ve included it. It was so so good. The taste of that pork was perfect and the avocado slices on it were so creamy and delicious. That roasted pork was soooo tender and some of the best. I will definitely be returning! I want to try some other dishes and every time I will order a Carnitas Torta! Fantastic!
