We’ve been visiting Daylight Donuts for over 30 years. I have great memories from when I was younger, and now returning as an adult is a real joy. All my favorites somehow taste the same- especially the peanut butter cup, which will always be my favorite donut. Also great coffee selection and other good breakfast options.

This place is fantastic. Everything is made fresh and in-house, even their ice cream and sorbet. We visited both locations in Chadron and they were both top-notch! The staff is so nice my husband said, “I want to give that lady a hug!” We had great coffee, breakfast sandwiches on amazing homemade bread rolls, ice cream, and donuts. Don’t miss out on this gem of an eatery!

When I was in college, I was a regular here. I went every Wednesday after class with one of my friends. I was recently in town and decided to show my fiancé this place and I ordered a Thai tea. Instead she gave me a chai tea, and I told her I actually ordered a Thai tea. She said “I repeated it back to you. If you want a Thai tea you have to buy another”. I did, but I did not think that was right. We made the same mistake considering she did not hear me right either. It was a simple mistake on both of our ends and an easy fix. I imagine that this cannot be the only time that this confusion has taken place and it should be somewhat expected. The drinks are great but I was very unimpressed by her customer service. We both made the same mistake, it seemed unfair that I had to pay for it, not to mention I did not appreciate her attitude.

This franchise is a local fixture. Great donuts, great boba drinks, and great biscuits and gravy. The dining room is newly opened (as of Feb ’23) so the drive through can get a bit backed up in the morning, but call ahead or order online and you’ll get your munchies in a jiffy. They make everything from scratch and it’s a family recipe, so the donuts are unique and definitely better than anywhere else. If you get a sandwich at lunch it comes on freshly baked bread and it’s SO soft! Amazing!

Cozy atmosphere, even though it seemed a repurposed building. Staff was very attentive and continued so as business picked up. Good breakfast sandwich for $3, but lots of variety in the donuts, especially the bear claws. Will definitely return!

There’s usually a line, so plan accordingly. Great fresh breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and donuts! The un-vaccinated mask debaters complaining about the lobby being closed during the pandemic are the very reason it has been closed for so long. I wouldn’t want them in my business either. Quit complaining and wait for your food, or go somewhere else! Will highly recommend!

My husband and I lived in the Chadron area for almost ten years. Going to this Daylight Donut shop was a special treat for us. Their fresh made breakfast sandwiches and donuts are sooo good.
Whenever we travel back that way we have to stop. Nothing beats the Peanut Butter Cup Donut. Yum!
