El Canaston is tucked away at the side entrance of the food court in the mall and we didn’t have high expectations since it’s a mall food court restaurant. This place turned out to be such a pleasant surprise! The Turkish-Mexican fusion was so amazing! And the Turkish and Mexican employees were very sweet! We’re Latinos and weren’t sure how the food would taste but my goodness we were blown away. My Mexican wife (El Paso native) took a mental trip back to her hometown as she bit into the Chicharron Burrito. I was skeptical so I tried it and sure enough, it was bomb! I had the Huarache with Tinga (chicken) and was quite content. It was my first time having Nopal and now I will forever compare this experience with any other. My wife, who’s eaten it plenty of times before, also said it was really good. We recommend both plates! The desserts perfectly completed the Turkish-Mexican cuisine fusion experience! If y’all are looking are looking for great food and awesome employees, check this place out!

I have been so far visited El Canaston four times with all my family. I will go many more times whenever i have an opportunity to eat excellent authentic Mexican food, and Turkish delights they offer there. Hand made tortillas are specially mentionable. Each person who works there has a very positive attitude, smily face and excellent customer service. Highly recommended!

I am a taco loving/eating machine. This is my new favorite taco spot!! A lot of taquerias just dont do it like this place. Usually there are too many toppings or the tortillas are too big and not authentic and the meat to tortilla ratio is off. But at El Canaston they do it right These are real street tacos!!! A good amount of meat, onions, cilantro and salsa. Oh, not to mention homemade tortillas cooked with a little meat grease. Simple and delicious!! A taco should be gone after 3 bites. 1st bite – “Hello” 2nd bite – a little kiss 3rd bite – ” goodbye my friend” I already planned my next visit! Do yourself a favor and the next time tou are craving a taco hit them up. You’ll be glad you did. I promise.

My mom and I came to the restaurant for lunch and were surprised by how delicious the pambazos were! They taste authentic and came warm with salsa on the side which was so good too. We also ordered 2 tacos de canasta and again, were delighted by how well they were made. The owners are so kind and to find out it was a family owned restaurant was even more pleasing. They really know how to cook! Can’t wait to come back for more.

I stopped by to have lunch with a friend at El Canaston. I had a quesadilla with chicken. The tortilla was homemade. It was very delicious. There were different salsa options red and green. Both of the salsas were very tasty. I also enjoyed my homemade fresh horchata juice. I will definitely come back to eat. I had a pleasant experience at El Canaston! Cozy, cute place with a warm welcoming ambiance!

Love this Place! You can tell they love to cook. So helpful choosing from the big selection of Mexican Plates! There quesadilla comes on freshly made tortillas. The Caldo de Pollo tastes freshly made! The Huarache was really good. Now you can’t go to El Canaston without trying one of there amazing Deserts!! New Options appear weekly! There’s the traditional Mexican Chocoflan, 3 Leches cakes but it doesn’t end there…. They also have Bakalava. Yeah you read right Bakalava. ❤️❤️❤️ They also have a variety of flavors of Turkish Delight! So many things to eat. It’s so hard to just pick one. Totally recommend this restaurant for there great service and delicious food options.

I went in Jan 2023 and ordered carne asada tacos, and homemade drinks. The tacos were very tasty and the homemade tortillas were amazing. I really like the horchata and the white drink. I liked the variety in the menu and that there’s many vegetarian options. The owners are nice and welcoming and are always there working, which is great to support a family business. Would come again to try more of the menu.

I wanted to like this place. I recently ate here, and the food was bland. I only got salsa for one meal, it was as tiny as a thimble. And I asked for condiments on the side, the employee confirmed that 2x. I even tip’d. I got my order with no condiments. It made me feel like the employee thought I was dumb, and I wouldn’t remember. I took the food as is, and did not complain. It was a slow at the restaurant at that time. so I know it wasn’t due to that. I unfortunately won’t be going back. I don’t normally leave reviews. I hope this finds the owner, and they can make the applicable changes to ensure the business stays a float✌
