* This is not authentic Mexican food *

I should’ve read the reviews before coming to save myself a trip, although I did see the star rating and it feels overrated.

The chips and salsa were good and a nice sized portion, although the tortillas were over-fried. I ordered two pork tacos, a chicken and a fish: I wish I got two fish. I knew when they came out in flour tortillas that I was in for a big let down. The fish was beautifully cooked though, and did pair well with the mango ‘salsa’. The pork was under seasoned and a little watery. The chicken was very heavily seasoned with lime and dry/ tough/ chewy. The flavors didn’t pair well and everything is missing cilantro/ onion/ flavor, and the hot sauces available did nothing to help. Personally, the raw flour tortillas ruined the meal.

This definitely caters to the area. I won’t be returning, but if you’re not a fan of typical tacos you may like it here.. Supporting small businesses is essential so at the very least try for yourself once!

El Camion is one of those off-the-beaten-path spots you’re glad you stumble upon. I’ve been a few times, and everything I’ve tried — from the steak and chicken tacos to the burrito and quesadilla — has been excellent. The flavors are bold and distinct, and their house-made hot sauce stands out with its deep smoky, chipotle flavor — easily one of my favorites anywhere.

I wouldn’t call it fully authentic Mexican, but it’s definitely its own thing — different in the best way. I really enjoy their flavor profile, though others might see it differently. That unique twist is what makes it memorable.

Small spot, great food, and totally worth the stop if you’re in the area.

This place started as a taco truck in 2011 and it was so popular that owner Haig Leonard opened this little gem of a restaurant in 2015. It’s a small rustic space with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are all friendly and efficient.

Best of all, the food is fantastic, each item on the menu has rich blend of flavors and textures. We always start with their house made chips and salsa. And then my fav is the fish taco; white fish marinated in coconut milk and lime, dredged in cornmeal and fried, with a mango salsa, shaved cabbage and sour cream. But there isn’t a loser on the menu. A must try for anyone who likes mexican food.

If you want to risk your fish tacos being over cooked and over fried get Monday-fridays if you want absolute PERFECTION every. single. time. with flaky tender loaded fish order on Saturdays and Sundays because that cook is amazing! never disappoints. I eat here very often and have always experienced this. Still optimistic they figure it out because this is my guilty craving and I drive over 40 minutes. Five stars on sat-sunday!

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican, this is not the place to go to.

Staff were friendly and it was cute inside! The vinegar-like taste in the steak tacos was overpowering. Tortillas were a little soggy. Pricey for tacos.

So sad- this used to be one of our favorite places to grab good Mexican food. Now is simply the worst food that we tasted. The menu changed and it is very limited but the worst part is that each single dish was just terrible. And we tried seven!

Great lunch food, has some good beer selection. Small menu but easy to choose from. Definitely Americanized version of Mexican food, but still great! Great place to get a quick bite . Burritos are huge. Wasn’t a huge fan of the chips – very hard.

Burrito tasted like frozen pizza bagels for whatever reason. Not authentic whatsoever, Mcdonald’s closeby is a better and cheaper alternative

Nobody is going to mix this up as being authentic Mexican, but that doesn’t even matter when everything is so fresh and delicious. If Wahoo’s from California opened a location, I can totally see the fish burrito that I had as being how they would do it up. Shaka, Brah!

“Never Before, but Many More”
I have never before tasted a taco this fresh and delicious, but I look forward to having many more. A food truck owner selling tacos did so well that he bought his own building and went from food truck to a cool little restaurant. Nice road side restaurant with an outdoor patio deck located on the edge of Woodbury, CT.
I had three great tacos and a Modelo beer to round out my Mexican experience. I had a pork taco, a steak taco, and a fish taco. They’re all soft tacos made with the freshest of ingredients, such as cilantro, red cabbage, pineapple, tomatillo, and mango.
Can’t wait to take my wife here. Everything was Deelicious !
