The birria is bland and rather ordinary. Overrated. Paid almost $50 for 2 plates with “consome” and 2 small sides of refried beans. The refried beans were excellent!, which is the only reason we gave the place 2 stars. However, we were disappointed with the main dish.

I have visited this place twice. The first time I had the Birria w/ ribs (dry) that came with beans, rice, 8oz consume and freshly made corn tortillas. The dish was good and is made very traditionally. I personally like my meat with a little more char but was good as is. On the second visit I ordered Chilaquiles. These had too much tomato in the sauce for my liking.

Do not confuse this place with the one in Santa Ana, Ca. Like I did, I’ve been to Santa Ana many times. This one in Pomona, Ca. Is a small place but man, it is amazing!!!! The service is excellent the Birria speaks for itself. Fresh made tortillas, the Birria is Delicious. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat Birria. I highly recommend. I don’t go for Res Birria I only do Birria de Chivo. Anyone looking for Chivo Birria you need to come here you will not regret it!!! Just bring your beer on the side

Best birria and consome!!! I highly recomond coming here, just be prepared to wait for a table if you dont plan on ordering to go. Parking can be tough since the parking area is small but you can parking across the street long the curb

It’s a small restaurant, with a small menu…not that you need a lot! The food is super tasty if you have a big appetite for tacos and birria! The place inside does have tables but on a first served basis. The parking is also small so you are warned!

The food is good, BUT the place has flies! Inside the restaurant and out! They either need to clean better or just buy something to kill/scare away the flies because it’s too much. The birria is great, they have hand made tortillas too but those flies ruin everything.
