I recently visited El Caballo De Oro in Lamar and had an amazing experience. I arrived at 2:00 PM on a Friday and was seated immediately, which was great. The waiter was very attentive and friendly, making me feel welcome and comfortable right away.

The restaurant was about to close soon and we felt rushed. The food was mediocre and over priced. The chili rellono was grosse. It was a fried egg around a pablano. Everyone knows you use egg whites whipped and flour added to make that light crust. Not here they rushed it through and it was nasty. The passive aggressive waiter made it known we needed to rush out and not enjoy our meal.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner here. The service was very fast and friendly. Too many yummy choices on their menu to choose from. I went with the special of the day, a Tiger Burrito with Chicken. Mild cheese sauce. Almost ate the whole thing. Very taste and mild.

Between waiting 35 minutes on an order i was told would take 15 minutes, and paying 8.95 for a cup of white cheese they never put in the bag the 3 kings meal was burnt and 2 shrimp in an order of 4 dinners?? Wth is going on? And for the goodyear worried about my language while he’s stuffing his fata$$ and i been there 25 minutes longer than he has. Hope u choke!

The Flys in this restaurant are awful. I couldn’t even enjoy the meal without shueing the Flys away. Waitress/waiter could care less. I order half cut ice tea and he brought out unsweetened. The waiter just won’t listen to what your trying to communicate.
