Best tacos in Huntsville! It’s in the back of a gas station, Liberty 2000 but don’t be scared to come in and try it. They make everything from scratch. Delicious food and great service for a good price.

Highly recommend coming here!

2025: Came back to updated menu and decor with the same great food and service. Breakfast burritos are fantastic (and hefty), the salsa that goes with it gives it a fresh pop. Menudo and specials on Saturdays. Highly recommend stopping in here if you have a chance.

2024: We’ve been here a few times in the past week and it’s been great every time. It may not seem like much, at the back of a gas station, but don’t let that deter you. The service is fantastic and everything is made fresh in-house. The meats are well marinated and everything tasted good. Good prices too.
The tamarind tea is fantastic, hibiscus tea can be a bit tart, and the pineapple is hit or miss (you have to catch it when it’s made fresh).
Stopping in to get a breakfast burrito sometime this week based on recommendations, will post updates.

As soon as you walk in you’ll immediately smell the fresh and savory food! I wanted to try everything! The owner was very friendly and kind when explaining the menu! He is definitely a master at flavor pairings! I had never had a cactus taco! It was incredible! I’m not a vegetarian, but that taco may have converted me! I can’t wait to come back and try more!

Everything about this place was excellent! Friendly and fast service, food was amazing at a reasonable price. Homemade chips and homemade pineapple water. All of the tacos were great. Live nearby and was looking for a taco truck. Stumbled upon this and so glad I did. Looking forward to trying more on the menu. Will definitely be back.

Outstanding authentic Mexican food. By far, the best place in Northern Alabama and possibly the entire state. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Fantastic customer service, the best Mexican food in the area. Ok they are located in a gas station, however that does not effect the service or the fantastic food.

Delicious Breakfast Omelettes and Burritos, etc. It is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. The owner, Salvador, is friendly, speaks good English and serves great food.

This place is LEGIT!!

My mother in law works in Meridianville and I needed to go see her early this morning. I’m not usually this far north of town, especially during the morning, but I’ve heard really good things about this place and so when I found myself in the area, I knew I had to stop by.

This is a small Mexican restaurant inside the Liberty 2000 gas station immediately off of 231. Signage is fairly discreet when looking from the road, but trust that it is there! Parking is ample.

It’s a tiny little spot but there’s about three small tables tucked in near the kitchen, and of course you can take your food to go, too. Two women were busy cooking this morning while a nice man took my order. Everyone was very pleasant and the gentleman was absolutely on top of everything; a few people were waiting for breakfast before me and the moment they left he was in action cleaning their tables. As I walked out, I spied him sweeping, too. Very clean establishment. For what it’s worth, I had no trouble ordering in English, though portions of some of the menus are in both Spanish and English.

They definitely serve breakfast and lunch — I didn’t catch if they’re open for dinner, but they might be. At breakfast, they have a bunch of different breakfast burritos, larger entree plates like huevos rancheros or omelettes, tortas, tamales, and fresh juices and smoothies. I placed an order for a potato and egg breakfast burrito. I also ordered a Coke, but I was instructed to buy that through the gas station. I was able to pay for both my meal from El Buen Sabor and my drink at the primary register for the gas station.

My order was made quickly and came out hot but not inedibly so, which was great because I couldn’t wait. I took it to go and sat in my car just cause I prefer to be alone while stuffing my face if possible, lol. My burrito was $5.80, was large, stuffed with goodness, and came with a cup of salsa verde for dipping. A neat stack of napkins was thoughtfully included in my to-go bag.

I know it sounds simple, and it was, but MAN if this wasn’t an amazing breakfast burrito. Pretty sure breakfast burritos may be one of my new favorite things if I could just get them this good all the time. I’m almost positive the flour tortilla was homemade — none of that gluey texture you get with store-bought flour tortillas. It was soft and slightly chewy and delicious. The potatoes were very faintly spicy — I spied a few pieces of red and green peppers/chilies throughout my burrito — and ample. The eggs were fluffy and cooked perfectly and the ratio of egg to potato was right on point. The salsa verde was bright, punchy, and the perfect amount of spicy. Just enough to add good flavor but my nose wasn’t running or anything. 🙂 And there was just enough to dip almost every perfect bite of burrito!

While I hate that I’m not in this neck of the woods too often, you can trust that any time I’m in the neighborhood, I’ll be back for more deliciousness. Honestly, even if you’re not in the area, I think it’s worth the drive if you’re craving this kind of food. Thanks for making my morning spectacular! 🙂

I finally have found a place that has Mexican style breakfast, and is actually open during breakfast hours. Most places don’t open until 10am. This place, is great. The steak, the eggs, it all was made just right. They serve a lot of things in this tiny place, so make sure you look at the whole menu.
