We were looking for a seafood spot to break our fast for Ash Wednesday, and this place was perfect. Super friendly from the moment we walked in and our server, Carlos, was so nice and attentive!
My husband and I shared a medium size Ceviche en Salsa de Mango, and grilled fish tacos. Paired our food with a beer and michelada. The ceviche was flavorful and delicious. Everything was great, will definitely be back to try more since it’s a big menu!

The restaurant is decorated on theme which is cute. It’s a very casual place with several TVs which were a little on the loud side. We ordered the ceviche verde and something else, I can’t remember. They’re very generous with their portion sizes which we appreciated. The ceviche was pretty good. It definitely tasted fresh and can see the hype. My main complaint was the customer service. Our waitress was extremely rude, he had an attitude the whole time and at one point we thought she forgot about us. We went in to enjoy a nice meal and the way she treated us was uncalled for. Regardless of how good their food was I can’t see myself coming back here.

Truly a Spanish/Mexican seafood atmosphere and flavor. The wait staff was super friendly and respectful all while providing excellent service. The food had an amazing flavor all while tasting fresh and savory. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the mood for some awesome shrimp and seafood!

The place is a little on the loud side but it seems like people are having a good time.
We placed our order and then were told that one dish was ready but not the other.
Food was good.

I don’t think I’ve shared a review for this restaurant yet. I’ve dined here a couple of times, and if I recall correctly, my first visit didn’t quite meet expectations—though it’s worth noting the place was fairly new to the San Antonio scene at the time. Each visit has offered a different experience, but one thing that’s remained consistent is the restaurant’s vibrant atmosphere.
I had completely forgotten—there was a live Mariachi band playing as we walked in, which added so much energy to the place. We were seated immediately at a booth, with no wait at all. The booth itself was really unique, featuring artwork that made it feel like we were underwater.
The menu is heavily seafood-focused, but I opted for the mini tacos, which came with toppings and pinto beans. They were absolutely delicious! I also treated myself to a high-end cucumber beverage that paired perfectly with the tacos.
All in all, it was a great visit. We enjoyed the food, the ambiance, and the service.

First time at this location, plenty of parking available. The place is clean, plenty of sitting, and always playing Mexican music. The micheladas are excellent, and so is the food. Good experience and good customer service.

Hadn’t been at this Bucanero location and I like it better than the one off 281 and Bitters. The food is very delicious . The atmosphere was great with good music and staff very attentive polite and respectful. I relay like that the kids plates included fries with every entree. Makes it easier than having to order fries on the side. My kids loved it. Definitely recommend 5/5
