Came back to leave a fresh review after its been a whole year since my last one with many visits since! Especially after consistently recommending this location to as many people as I can.
This hole-in-the wall taco spot is phenomenal! I decided to be a little adventurous and ordered a Tripa Taco to put their kitchen to the test and I was everything but disappointed! The flavors and textures of the varying dishes offered here are unmatched and I have yet to be disappointed on any of my visits.
I recommend the Al Pastor as a personal favorite! The atmosphere is nice and as a personal note the kitchen staff seem to always be in a good mood. I have walked in to the kitchen staff singing in the back as they prepare food on more than one occasion.
It takes a lot of effort to make good food but it takes a special place for people to recognize that the staff truly enjoy doing it.
You won’t find social media frills or Instagram style food meant to drive engagement here but what you will find is some of the best Mexican food Arizona has to offer.
Keep up the amazing work year after year El Bigo Taco. I can’t wait until I’m no longer full and can return to try more of your menu!

Great tacos! I recommend the Quesabirria Combo! Combination of quesadilla and birria taco. The birria is super tender. If your in town. Stop by. Gonna keep this one on my favs, for sure!

Came here with my family on a trip, the service is great. The food authentic with their tortillas made by hand. The meat was well seasoned & savory. The meal was more than filling, it was also satisfying. We’ll be remembering this place when we leave & coming when we visit.

I always come here to get tacos but this is the first time the food was not good (tacos of chorizo all burned) and the lady at front looked mad that I was there ! I spend 30$ I couldn’t even touch my food and by the time I knows it it was closed 🙁

Ordered a Huarache de Asada and it came with all the fixings and the taste was as good as it gets. Decently priced.
Update: went back to try other options, quesadilla birras are amazing, as well as beans and rice. Also got a burrito that was above average in taste. This place does Mexican food right.

Food is not the same. Quality is wayyyyy down. You get fat and cartilage rather than quality meat for the price they charge.
It’s crazy how fast this place went down. Will no longer go back and wont recommend.
