Large portions sizes at a reasonable price for a mountain town! I got the Pollo Asado Burrito and it was just ok. Chicken was fresh but there were a lot of vegetables in it that weren’t described in the description making it kind of different for a burrito. We also got the grande burrito which was HUGE. Totally worth the extra cost as you will have leftovers with that! Staff were friendly and a decent atmosphere.

I was very disappointed with this restraurant. This is 2nd I have eaten here and the 1st was great. This visit was a negative experience. We waited a long time for server who did not come. We waited so long that husband had to look for someone. He found out server sitting a table socializing. She finally brought that were horribly soggy and old. My tacos and refried beans were completely flavorless. However, my husband loved his Chile relleno and our margarita was delicious and relatively cheap. I would return to this restaurant a 3rd time.

Everything about this restaurant is fantastic! My family and I were in town for the day and decided to give El Azteca a try, and we were absolutely blown away. They truly deserve 5 out of 5 stars. The food was delicious, the service was top notch and everything was served quickly. As someone who understands the effort it takes to run a family business, I have even more respect for what they’ve built. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Such a solid Mexican food spot for a small town. I came here last night and the tortilla soup was so good that I came back today and had the enchilada and relleno combo and it was all soooo good. Also great service and friendly staff. Mil gracias amigos!!

The service leaves a lot to be desired. Not exactly welcoming and don’t expect helpful or friendly wait staff… We’ve eaten there three times and the order was wrong twice. Good portions, kind of plain tasting, not the worst but not the best.. Middle of the road I think best describes this place.. Ordered different varieties or styles of food with different prices but somehow the bill was almost exactly the same every time, 50 bucks for two people… Salsa was very thin/watery and the green chilli we ordered on our third visit was either forgotten, left off or just actually red? Probably left off because my burrito looked the same as the first two visits when we didn’t order green chilli but upon asking the waiter if they forgot it he assured us it was there… Hmmm can you find it in the pics?

One of the worst Mexican food restaurants me and my partner have ever been to in our lives
I’m down for mediocre Mexican food but this was barely edible
I cracked open my burrito and immediately found a large twig nestled inside my carnitas, really glad I didn’t accidentally eat it.
The salsa was without a doubt the most gross tasting salsa we’ve ever had.
The burritos were just ok other than the twig
They also gave us a half filled bowl of chips and when we were about to order another bowl, my partner looked at the menu and realized they charge 6$ for extra chips . I wasn’t even going to write a bad review until I saw the 6$ extra chips that fully sent me over the line
Go somewhere else 🙂

Great location. Nice outdoor seating. Good indoor decor & clean. Very friendly staff. Slow inaccurate service even though there were less than 5 tables inside & out. Tasteless food. We will choose one of our standard restaurants next time.

I’m surprised this place has good reviews, or maybe it was just a bad day for them today. The food was barely edible, the albóndigas soup was horrible, it was only balls of ground beef, the broth was super thick and absolutely no vegetables anywhere. The mole enchilada had ground beef inside! What is that about? The mole was not even mole. The “kids” beef burrito was also ground beef and then smothered in sauce, what kid would eat that? The steak was like beef jerky. We had 4 adults and 2 kids in our group and they added the tip to the check!! Why?? Service was horrible and they added an automatic $18 for tip, that’s crazy. Attitude was horrible from the waitress with the bleach blonde hair. Food took forever to get out too. I don’t know, I can’t believe people like the place. Horrible. Can’t even call the place a Mexican restaurant, not even Tex-Mex, that was someone’s own thought up “Mexican” recipes.
