Any time I’m traveling past Mt. Vernon, I always stop and grab a bite to eat here. The service is so fast that it challenges fast food restaurants. My wife and I stopped here today and were in and out within 15 minutes. The food is always fresh and delicious. The chips and salsa are my favorite around. The servers are always super friendly and I have no complaints about the atmosphere. Plus, it’s very reasonably priced!

Fast, friendly service. Food came out super fast. Enchiladas were very good. Draft beer was exactly what it was supposed to be. I did not care for the hot salsa myself, but it was personal preference. The mild salsa was more mainstream. Solid Mexican food for a small town. I would definitely return.

We had stopped by for lunch, service was terrible!! After waiting 30 minutes for my food It came out wrong. They remade it in 5 minutes tried to eat it and couldn’t. The steak tasted like bad crawfish and the beans were terrible. The queso tasted like warm milk with the consistency of it. By far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. When I complained the manager said “oh well, here’s the check). No one at our table could eat their food. I recommend avoiding this place!!

Been here several times, it used to be amazing. This past experience was upsetting. First, they switched to coke, then we ordered and the food didn’t taste as good as past experiences. We sat for over 30 minutes waiting on the waitress to come over and they never did. We had to go over to the area they were standing and talking to ask for boxes. Will never go back now.

My son and I were on a road trip and thought we’d stop to get a bite. I’m a huge fan of Mexican food so when I saw the “authentic Mexican food” sign I new that El Azteca was where we’d be stopping. We were greeted promptly by at least 3 smiling faces, and waited only a few seconds before being seated. Our waitress brought out chips and we were asked what type of salsa we wanted, hot or mild. The chips and hot salsa were really amazing. Definitely a authentic homemade flavor. I ordered the California Burrito and my son had two chicken soft tacos. We were both very impressed with how quickly the food came out and just as impressed with the taste. So good!! The prices were very reasonable as well. Great job! The atmosphere was warm, and family oriented. If our travels ever take us back by we will definitely be stopping again.

Not the greatest Mexican food I have ever had. Very plain no seasoning at all. And the tamales were good but really really small. Very quick service placed order and not kidding 5 minutes later it was sitting in front of us. Then we never seen the server again so dont expect refills.

Great food and fantastic service. We stopped in for lunch after being on the road all morning. Our five year old immediately knocked his water over, which was met with extreme kindness by our waitress and we were promptly moved to a new table.
