The person who was taking my order through the drive-thru this day was ABSOLUTELY RUDE!! It was almost near impossible to order with this person and she was extremely difficult while taking the order, I was making an order of 5 sandwiches and obviously everyone has modifications and this order taker was NOT having it. I actually HESITATE coming to this bagel world as EVERY interaction I’ve had has aways been bad here. My review below still stands, but the customer service here is AWFUL. I am not sure if they have grown accustomed to the college kids being rude or difficult? But I live in Swampscott and am an actual regular here, and am not a college kid and I truly would love to love my experiences here but I do not.
If you want REAL customer service, go to the one on Saugus those ladies there are actual sweethearts.

The service is a hit or miss but the food is great so its a win win sometimes? Nonetheless! The everything bagels ❤️
The drive thru lane can be LONG and so is the inside wait, but it does depend on what time you go!! So plan accordingly!!
Can NOT recommend the this place enough.
Always my favorite place for coffee, bagels, breakfast sandwiches and bagel sandwiches.

If you go to a small coffee shop and they have good bagels, there’s a great chance the bagels are from here.
When I arrived to pick up the order the next day, I was completely ignored at the counter for at least five minutes while other customers were helped, despite the store being nearly empty. I literally had to jump and wave my arms to get someone’s attention. That should’ve been my second red flag.
When it finally came time to pay, the employee clearly had no idea how to operate the register. She entered the order multiple times, cancelled it, restarted, and fumbled around for a good ten minutes just trying to ring me up.
Then came the tax issue. My employer is a tax-exempt organization, and when I asked to have the taxes removed, the employee miscalculated them and did the math wrong trying to adjust the total.
I then asked for an itemized receipt for my expense report and the answer was a flat-out “no.” I asked for a simple breakdown of the cost per item. Again: “no.” It’s 2025 – what kind of business can’t print a receipt or even provide basic pricing information?
As if the service wasn’t bad enough, the food itself was awful. The bagels were dry, bland, and honestly hard to choke down.
Bagel World failed at every single step — ordering, customer service, checkout, and food quality. I will never be returning, and I’d strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere.
Their garlic Bagels didn’t hand that much of a garlic flavor to them. The flavor was very light but was nice and tender and tasted good
