We have been here twice with my family when traveling to Maryland and both times have been great. The food is so delicious and the drinks as well. They give you chips and salsa prior to ordering. To eat, I got the taco salad with beef, lettuce, beans, and cheese. I believe it had sour cream as well but can’t remember. It was really good. They also had kid friendly meals, which my daughter got chicken tenders with fries.
I got a pina colada which came in an actual frozen pineapple. It was so good.
I recommend this place and will definitely be back again.

Great drinks, atmosphere, service, and food. Drinks are beautiful and delicious. They have so many flavors of margaritas, frozen and rocks! Excellent happy hour menu that ends at 5pm which helps cut down on drink prices so definitely go for an early dinner if you are getting a view drinks! Loved the staff and beautiful interior. Food was delicious

I’ve been to this restaurant several times, and this location is truly the best. When we arrived, I had no idea they changed the name of the place. It is now called Blue Mezcal. The food was fantastic! My partner and I shared a seafood platter, and the seafood was succulent and flavored to perfection. I’ve never had lobster or scallops that were prepared so perfectly. We left no crumbs and didn’t even have leftovers. We also enjoyed a frozen margarita flight, and it was so good. Each flavor had a different vibe, but it was the perfect drink assortment to get those taste buds going. It wasn’t too busy when we went, even though it was a Saturday evening. Our server was pretty good, always occasionally checking on us but not overwhelming the table. I can say I enjoyed my experience to the fullest, and I would definitely recommend it.

Updated Review; This was our second time here and we ate at the bar. Got there at 4:30 on a Tuesday and we were the only ones sitting at the bar. $180 for dinner, drinks and a bottle of Bad Hombre to take home. About 5:15 people started to come in and the bar filled up within 15 minutes. By then we had our drinks and dinner in front of us. The food was great and we both had a large Skinny Margarita and shared a shot of Bad Hombre. I enjoyed eating at the bar way more than at a table like our first time there.

The service was excellent. El Azteca promotes their own brand of Tequila called Bad Hombre. We had Casamigos at the table with dinner and then a Bad Hombre chilled in the bar after dinner. Bad Hombre is an organic tequila which is what we prefer to drink. The food was fresh and delicious, as well as the drinks. It was a Friday night with bad weather so we were happy to find it not overly crowded.

The food was delicious and full of flavor. The environment was clean, and the server, a tall gentleman whose name I can’t recall, was friendly and helpful. The food arrived quickly at the table. I’ll definitely return to try more items on the menu.

I was visiting family and decided to pickup some Mexican. First I will say the gentleman who took my order was super nice, however the food was subpar. We didn’t get rice with any of our meals and they forgot to give us our drinks. I ended up with this soupy shrimp which may have been “ok” had I received the rice. Overall, it was just disappointing when spending $40+ on food. The guac was good, but the cheese dip was cold. Not a fan

Ordered Ceviche and I received some weird tomato soup concoction. I’m Hispanic and I’ve ordered ceviche from many places. I even grew up eating it and preparing it. What I received was strange. It didn’t taste bad but it wasn’t ceviche. To make matters worse, I explained I was at least 30 minutes away and asked them to not prepare my food just yet so that it wouldn’t be sitting out. I got there and asked the guy up front and he told me my order has been there sitting for half an hour.

Blue Mezcal is more Mexican inspired than Mexican. The food was not so good- and the service was horrible all the way around. A lot of staff who dont understand the mission and don’t seem to care if you’re there or not.
I would not recommend. This is a rare case where i would recommend any chain restaurant before this one.

The food was subpar… Typical for most chains. The chicken taco was good but We also ordered ground beef tacos… The texture of the ground beef was odd… It was so finally grounded. My husband stated it was like eating sawdust. I laughed and agreed with him on that one. We were seated by the bar, so yes, it was noisy. Server was a bit slow, actually more than a bit to get back to us to take our order.
