It was pretty good. Seemed like standard mexican food. The prices were fair and the beer was cold. The only difference between the lunch and dinner chimichanga (shown in pix) were the beans for 3 dollars. I think a side would have been less expensive. Anyway the food and service were good.

We happened upon a truly unique Mexican restaurant in Greenville, AL—El Amigo—and it was such a great find! We tried the Patel Rice with grilled chicken and the Avocado El Amigo with grilled chicken, and both dishes were absolutely amazing. The Patel Rice had just the right kick from the jalapeños without being overwhelming, while the Avocado El Amigo was refreshing, flavorful, and delicious. The service was excellent and very friendly, making the experience even better. Highly recommend both dishes and this hidden gem!

I will just say it: the best Mexican food I have ever had. The food was delicious and very flavorful. The secret to this place is fresh food made in-house. When we pass through this area again, we will definitely stop by again. Big shout-out to our waitress Doris; she did a wonderful job. The manager, management, we’re super friendly. Just a overall cool restaurant. Glad we stopped.
Thanks again for a great experience

My server was very friendly and my food and drinks came out fast. The Texas Margarita tasted a little like sanitizer (not sure if this was the tequila used, the mix, or the glass) but the carnitas street tacos were 5/5. The meat was very flavorful, tender, and crunchy and the salsas were delicious.

Stopped in during a road trip. The food was on point, and the beer was cold. Some of the best interior Mexican food. Highly recommend. Had the Carnitas Street Tacos and the Puerco Verde. Delish.

A Mexican restaurant where the service is very fast. We were passing through and even before a bathroom stop the drinks are on the table.
The main language is Spanish (Mexican) but of course they speak and understand English very well.
There are plenty of food choices and all are typical Mexican. And to my understanding also very cheap and affordable.
For a quick and fast stop on the highway this is the place to go.
My Mastercard didn’t work but my American Express did. So that’s good to know!
Now the food: we had different choices and they were all OKish. Especially for the price!
The four of us eat for around $50 together and that’s amazing in the states nowadays (2024)

Great local place. Local owned and very good. Nice crowd on a Sunday night, the kitchen was busy. Had Fajitas and Cheese Chili Rejano which were both very good and filling. Good house marg too.
