If you have read any review, I have ever written about small-town Mexican restaurants operating from a repurposed buildings then you don’t need to read this review. It is a duplicate of ones I have written hundreds of times before. Before you scroll on to something else though, here is a summary. This is what I call a good solid Mexican restaurant. The food is nicely spiced, the portions are decent, as are the prices. The service is good, the restaurant is clean. If you are on “The Mother Road” and need a burrito fix, feel comfortable pulling in here to experience authentic OkieMex food. They can provide beer and drinks, and the menu is several pages of fine print, covering all things Mexican food. You will find a meal to appease your hunger. The structure looks like an old McDonalds. Pull in park, and eat. Simple.

This was my first time enjoying el agave, I thought the food was great. I ordered the Pollo Chipotle, I believe it has just the right amount of spice. I will definitely be back again

Hi all, I’m having trouble confirming that this is the one in Davis, OK. If so, it was good. Fresh chips and salsa, no queso. The lunch specials were decently priced and good. They have indoor (very pretty tables) seating or outdoor. My husband had a Mango margaritas that was good. Ole!

Great flavor on the Pollo Durango (chicken and mushrooms with cheese sauce over it). I added grilled onions and cilantro and it was very good. Casual place and the service was very attentive by several different staff. Great place to go as I was just driving through town.

enjoy getting a small guacamole and the beef dip with pico to go along with frozen Margaritas. The seafood combos are fabulous. I seriously have not had a bad order.

Very clean, salsa is wonderful, all the food I’ve tried is good. Prices are fair for what you get. Great service. Cleanest restaurant in town.

I go there often with my friends and never experienced anything like this before. I don’t know what was going on that day but the food wasn’t okay. The flavor didn’t meet the expectations and besides that the meet smelled like smoke/burnt.

Passing through on way to Michigan from mesa airzona. Very happy we stopped her in this small town. The burritos were awsome! And the staff very nice!

The water in the bathroom came out scalding hot, and I wish the food was remotely close. But it was the perfect lukewarm temperature to feed our baby immediately when served. It seemed like they have really big portions of beans, but it was just watery enough to spread really thin. It was clearly popular with locals, but if heading south keep driving.
