Nice home town atmosphere. Service was slow and not what I was expecting at all. We ordered and got drinks then waited 15-20 minutes for food to come to the table. I ordered fish tacos based on the picture it looked great but received something was different than the picture and description. The fish was seasoned with lemon pepper seasoning as well which was not expected. It look like they cooked one piece of fish and cut it up and flaked it on top of three different tacos. The fish was barely lukewarm to the touch and when I asked the waitress who brought the food to the table she said she wasn’t sure she was new and was going to ask. 3-6 minutes later she came back to the table and said the fish is cold because they put other cold items with the fish on the taco. Then she said she would get someone else for us 10 minutes later our waitress finally came back to the table and her response was I’ll take it off and I’ll get your check for you right away and didn’t even ask if I wanted anything else. We never received any refills for our drinks at all… So when we asked refills she said do you want that to go cup and just pretty much just rushed us out the door. I left very disappointed ☹️. The other person in my party ordered the turkey club sandwich that he said was very good and sweet potato fries that came with a sauce that was very tasty. We also got chicken tenders with macaroni and cheese for my child and he enjoyed it.

I decided to try EJ’S today as I was on that side of town and really want to support local. Their dining room was open and I went in to grab something to go.
I ordered the bacon and avocado wrap with a side of frys, no drink.
Pros:
The staff were very nice, super friendly and very inviting
The layout of the restaurant was nice and the dining room allowed for easy social distancing
The wrap was very generous in it’s portion which justifies the cost. The wrap is two meals for myself, which break’s down to about $4.
Cons:
Floor was sticky when I walked in the door. I cannot believe i am having to say this for yet another restaurant..check your mop, the bucket and change the water.
The frys were undercooked and cold.
Will I go back? Maybe..maybe if i am out and about in the morning, I will try their breakfast menu. I do recommend this place based on the wrap and the atmosphere.

Will definitely try again, great service, nice place, but 2 of 5 breakfast meals the eggs were overdone. Poached eggs were hard and omelet outer edge “crispy,” other 3 meals were great.

I’ve tried this place on four occasions and have been disappointed every time. You definitely don’t want to order delivery, they’re extremely slow. The food is mediocre at best. The waffle was so thin you could see through it.
It’s always busy, but I can only figure it’s because there aren’t many other options.

Ej’s was busy at the time we visited but we waited maybe 5 min for 5 and an infant to be seated. Awesome food and its enough to fill any one up. Cheesy grits were new to me but they were good. Mimosas were awesome and we stumbled into it by accident. We only took the exit to get gas but then we all were ready for breakfast and as soon as I opened up google, it was less then 1/4 mile away. And all the fast food places where lined up to the road so we knew that wasn’t an option. But I’m super glad we found this gem. Awesome place to eat at if your near!

Love this place! The food and service was phenomenal both times we went while visiting from Indiana. Below is cinnamon French toast and peasant potatoes and also a banana split waffle. We also indulged in their iced espressos which were soooo good! If you are anywhere near, definitely come visit this lovely place!

There is nothing we don’t love to eat at EJ’s! Jalapeño Cheddar burger with sweet potato fries and cinnamon butter is by far my absofavo! Chicken tender plate is huge and even my teenage boy doesn’t finish it (yay for leftovers!). Breakfasts are ginormous and delish. Champagne flight is a must. Service is pretty solid and they get really busy, so have some patience. Music in bar is nice but can overpower, so sometimes we choose to sit in the main room so we can converse with each other. They have lots of theme nights to draw people in, so go take advantage of it!

If you’re ever on this side a town, this place is a gem! I tried the steak sandwich and it was phenomenal, definitely order the cream cheese horseradish on the side. I also got the sweet potato fries and they were cooked perfectly. The dipping sauce that comes with the fries are amazing. Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely make a trip back here!

EJ’s is a great local spot in White House and a friend let me know they host a free poker night on Tuesday’s to go along with Buy one get one beer and a full menu.
I had the Baja brisket nachos and really enjoyed the cottontown brown beer on draft.
Cheyenne is a great bartender who is very friendly and quick to smile at everyone.
The poker tournament was a lot of fun and I look forward to returning in the future.
My only complaint is that none of the food items had prices next to them.
