We went here and it was super quiet in the lounge/21+ area… this place is huge though, so I could imagine it gets really busy during winter.

Came for brunch. Nice, clean atmosphere. My friend had a breakfast burrito and champagne cocktail which she enjoyed.

We had the chicken fricassee that was very delightful and imaginative and also the poutine which was very good. It was obvious the passion that went into the preparation of this food. I love food that someone put some effort into. If I lived closer I’d eat there everyday. The whole place has a very good energy making it a fun place to relax and eat.

Really cool place. The decor is awesome. We got the poutine exotic burger and Mac and cheese . It’s a bit pricey ($26 burger) which you expect at a place like this, however my gripe is our waiter asked if we’d like to have the burger split (as we were sharing), having the kitchen cut the burger in half cost $3. A heads up when offering would’ve been nice.

I ordered the charcuterie board and the short rib grilled cheese. I wish the grilled cheese had more cheese, but it was tasty! The charcuterie board.. now I would go back just to order that! I wasn’t too sold on the sauce spread around on the meats, but whatever it was, it was amazing!

Really enjoy the ambiance, love the campfire old fashions and food was really good. Great open spaces and extra seating upstairs. Cute gift shop and a great bar area. Enjoy the booths. French dip had tender meat and the au jus was tasty. I’d pass on tomato soup next time and maybe try a different side. Waiter was attentive.

Eight Settlers is an outstanding establishment with scenic views of the Salt Lake Valley, delicious food and drinks, and friendly service. I dined on a Friday night and the restaurant’s location that is walking distance from the Courtyard Cottonwood Heights is the main reason Eight Settlers won our business. I know the food to be very good at Eight Settlers and it did not disappoint. The Lamb Shank and the Salmon were outstanding. The Pesto Pasta was a bit bland, but I knew it probably was not a dish the restaurant is known for. Pasta met a dietary need. The Lamb Shank was out of this world amazing. My wife ordered it and I only had a few bites, but it was so tender, juicy, and complete. Steve, our server, was extremely friendly and sincere. I wish I ordered the “Smoky Old Fashioned” after seeing the tableside presentation of other patrons. But the neat Bourbons I ordered instead were smooth and delightful. The restaurant is seating guests on the upper level with almost panoramic views of the Salt Lake Valley. The last time I dined at Eight Settlers in the Winter when it gets darker by 5:00PM the first floor seating was used. All around a great choice for dinner out!

We ate there tonight after a tour of the distillery, and the food was almost too beautiful to eat. But to not eat it would have been a tragedy, because it was outstanding.
