I have been here a few times . Last night I came with my family . Staff is very friendly . Hostess was very attentive and had a welcoming smile . Server was very knowledgeable of the menu . She knew exactly when to approach the table and upsell drinks . I worked in restaurants for many years so I am very observant of what is going on . I give them 100 !!!!

Hi, just can’t say enough about our recent experience at Vagabond’s in EHT, NJ . My wife & I were celebrating our anniversary and this place was very busy and the hostess asked us if we would mind sitting at the bar & we said sure, that would be fine!
As soon as we were seated the bartender greeted us with a big, beautiful smile & welcomed us to Vagabond’s and introduced herself- her name was Briella! Her conversation and professionalism was top notch!
Briella made us so comfortable and at home which contributed to our overall experience at this beautiful restaurant right on a golf course. we ordered the roasted brussel sprouts & sheared ahi tuna which was off the hook! , as starters. My wife had the salmon entree and I indulged in the Vagabond zesty tacos for our main course which were perfection! Briella – bartender- make us two chocolate martinis, which were out of this world and a come to think of it. I think we had more than two each lol.
We will return to this friendly, beautiful and awesome restaurant and travern in the near future! we really had a great time!

Food was good but the Brussels sprouts appetizer was dry sent back took off our bill it was better in the one in Atlantic city my kids did not like the chicken fingers they were Chewy but the fries are delicious. Burgers are delicious, and so was the crab cake sandwich. But one thing there were so many flies inside the restaurant we had to fight off trying to eat our food instead of hanging out enjoying the beautiful view couldn’t wait to get up and leave

I am not someone that leaves a review often; however, my experience last night encouraged me to write one. To start, my boyfriend and I waited 20-25 minutes for anyone to recognize we had not been waited on yet. I totally understand that mistakes happen; however, the waitress blamed it on the hostess and did not take accountability. When they finally took our order, I notified the waitress of my severe Tree Nut allergy to which she stated “I will let the kitchen know.” I ordered a couple appetizers and The Capri flatbread as it listed the ingredients as “tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, basil, balsamic glaze.” When the flatbread arrived it was clearly pesto not just basil. I understand that there are pestos that do not contain pine nuts, but it was not listed as so on the menu. I immediately notified my waitress who took it back to the kitchen and then told us that “There’s no guarantee that the pesto does not have pine nuts.” I did not eat anything else that was served to me because clearly the waitress did not notify the kitchen of my allergy and the kitchen was not educated on the ingredients of the food that they serve. We spoke to the manager about the mix up on the menu and he took some accountability but blamed it on him being Italian stating “basil and pesto are the same to me”. My grandmother was from Italy and I clearly know the difference between basil and pesto. Overall the whole staff took my allergy as a joke and we paid our entire bill minus the pizza even though we didn’t eat our meal. This establishment is lucky they haven’t had someone go into anaphylactic shock at this point. If you have an allergy I would not recommend eating here.

My first time at this restaurant. We had family visiting with their dog. We found those on a sight that they were dog friendly….so we went. Food, drinks, service, and a friendly area on the patio for visiting dog families. All was great. We enjoyed out Buffalo Cauliflower, and I loved the homemade Chicken Salad.

Visited on 12/6 with my girlfriend, who has a tree nut allergy. We waited a ridiculous 20–25 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us, while multiple servers walked past us like we were invisible. There were only two other active tables in that entire section, so bad start.

Eventually an older blonde server came over, immediately defensive, full of excuses, and dripping with attitude. She even made a smart-ass comment: “You probably have the whole menu memorized since you’ve been sitting here so long.” We’ve dealt with entitled “Karens” and miserable people before, so we stayed patient, ordered our food making sure to reiterate the allergy.

When drinks arrived, they came with dirty, previously used napkins. We asked for replacements and, again, the attitude returned.

Then came the real masterpiece.

We ordered the Capri flatbread. The menu clearly says: “tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, basil, balsamic drizzle.” Instead, it came smothered in pesto, which typically contains pine nuts. We pointed it out, and the server instantly got defensive, insisting the menu said pesto (it didn’t as I pulled up the menu and showed her). She checked with the kitchen, returned, and said they “had no idea what was in it” and couldn’t confirm if nuts were present. Absolutely unacceptable, how do you not know what is in your food? Even premade items have an ingredients list.

She then doubled down with, “If it says basil, pesto is implied.”
No, basil and pesto are not the same thing. Anyone with minimal food knowledge knows that. At this point, it was obvious no one cared about the severity of the allergy, and was careless. We no longer felt safe eating anything there.

We stopped eating, asked for the bill and the manager, and even that was met with, “Why do you need to talk to a manager?”

When the manager showed up, he admitted the menu was wrong and that it’s “been like that” but claimed they’d “never had a problem.” Then he said that because he’s Italian, basil and pesto are basically the same to him. I’m not sure who confuses a whole basil leaf with pesto sauce, but that alone tells you the level of incompetence we were dealing with. After I spelled out how seriously this could have gone, his tone softened, but still zero accountability.

I’ve worked in restaurants for almost a decade. Servers and managers like this would have been fired on the spot anywhere I’ve worked.

We will never return, and honestly, anyone who values decent service, or literally cares about their safety with allergies, should avoid this place.

Juliano’s is less than a mile away and wipes the floor with this place in every category: service, attitude, and food quality.

We golf here often and head in for burgers and micros. Today I had the triple with Brussels. Great local staff, super friendly. Excellent chef and owners. Overlooks the 18th hole. Food is dynamite.

One of my go-to spots! My mom and I love Vagabond’s happy hour and go quite often, especially during the off-season. We usually sit at the bar, and Briella was our girl- she was incredibly attentive and always had great recommendations! Would definitely recommend.

I’ve been to Vagabond EHT a few times this summer for trivia. They offer flavorful comfort foods and featured cocktails that pair well together. I especially enjoyed the Prickly Pear (Perfect Par) Margarita and the White Sangria, as well as Roasted Brussel Sprouts, Pulled Pork Quesadilla, and Goat Cheese Salad. The service is amazing, because the servers like Shawn are always friendly and attentive, checking in occassionally to see if you need anything.

The only issue we have had with the atmosphere is the noise. We usually sit in the long room between the bar and the outdoor sections, which is a complete echo chamber. Between everyone talking, it gets so loud, we can barely hear ourselves think, let alone communicate with our trivia team mates. Although the regular trivia host (Ray, I think?) has a clear voice and fun theme rounds, the venue is not the best for being able to relax and enjoy the game, because it can get so loud. I’m not sure if it’s easier to hear on the speakers outside or at the bar, but that’s why I had to deduct a star for atmosphere. It might be fine for days or nights when it’s not as crowded.
