Honestly, thank you to this place for serving breakfast with such tasty and unique spices.
It’s not easy to find a spot that gets the seasoning right, especially for breakfast.
The food is clearly made with care, and the flavors are nicely balanced.
The service is great, and the atmosphere feels very comfortable and welcoming.
I highly recommend this place, and I’ll definitely be coming back.

We met Dylan, our sever, at another restaurant – but he relocated to this LOVELY location, so we did too!
He was, as always, prompt, friendly, and above all HONEST, about suggestions. We split the Market Bowl – added ham. The portion was huge. It was perfect.
The staff was all super nice, even though there was chaos because of a cheer event going on, the decor was not overwhelming, charming.
Will be frequenting this local often. Pete, the manager, was engaging and loved our comments on the way out.

The food was exceptionally great.. It’s exactly what it’s called..egg haven it was so delicious. I had the western omelette the ham green peppers and onions were diced to perfection the hash browns were very tasty only complaint the onions could have been grilled a little longer. The pancakes were soft and buttery.. You definitely have gained a faithful customer compared to The Junction in Dekalb and the breakfast house across from Wendy’s in sycamore their omelette was skimpy. Egg Haven have a real outstanding breakfast and selection and the omelette are big as your head… And did I mention delicious ❤️

Quality and service are why you go here. You may have to wait if you go on a Sunday morning, but trust me, it is worth the wait. My hubby and I got in in 15 min , food came fast and was amazing I got the cream of chicken with a California burger and side salad. Food was amazing!

this place is a total gem. my husband tried this for the first time without me and raved about it. so when we happened to be in dekalb/sycamore, we stopped here for breakfast. I walked and was genuinely surprised at the fancier atmosphere. I was expecting a diner type place (nothing wrong with that), but everything was so clean, and the decor was sharp. I especially liked the booths because they were tall and felt much more private and not like I was having a conversation with my husband AND the neighboring table.
now, onto the food. we both got seasonal dishes. my husband got pumpkin pancakes, and I got apple cider french toast. again, I was totally taken by surprise at the plating and general “prettiness” of the dish. the brioche bread they used was outstanding. not the sad, soggy texas toast you get in most places. it stood up to the apples, sauce, and syrup. next, the apples were SO good. I truly appreciate the fact that they used fresh apples and a homemade sauce instead of an apple pie filling…they were crunchy and a lovely contrast with the french toast itself. my husband’s pancakes (yes, I had to try a tinyyyyy bite) were also wonderful. sweet and moist because of the pumpkin. the tangy cream cheese sauce on top paired perfectly with the pancakes. but I’m definitely glad I got the french toast because I think they were a bit more unique and interesting. I highly recommend this place. I can’t wait to go back because I want to try about half of the menu!

Very fast service, kind staff, and amazing food.
First time at Egg Haven and I am very impressed. I tried the Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast and it was fantastic. Unlike most places serving pumpkin flavored things and it’s just pumpkin. I could still taste the pumpkin flavor in the pancake, it was just subtle in a very good way.

This place is great. Staff is very pleasant and diligent. A little more Cinnamon needed on French Toast.
You have the recyclable coffee to go cups and that’s fabulous. Would love to see the same for take out & leftover containers. Hopefully you’ll switch from Styrofoam to something more eco-friendly.

Amazing selection of breakfast, about the best there is!! Huge portions!! (Which is good because breakfast here isn’t exactly cheap, but you DO get what you pay for!) Quality and flavor are OUTSTANDING!! Update May 14, 2023: Went to Egg Haven for Mother’s Day and it was wonderful! Large portions, everyone loved the food, and plenty to take home!! The best breakfast place e around!!
