We had our mid afternoon meal at Efren’s earlier today, and I have to give him a shout out. It was some of the best food I have eaten in a very long time. We both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and want you to know that it’s worth going. am so happy and I hope that they succeed because they have a great menu and they are really friendly people. Their Cook did an excellent job. Some of the Vegetables (eggplant, sweet potato, cauliflower, carrot, potato) were puréed and they were delicious. The fish was plentiful and tender with a delicious lemon garlic sauce. It was sitting on top of more vegetables which were steamed. I was craving a meal like this and it came through with blue ribbons and gold stars. I hope you go and enjoy it also. Oh and they made a perfect to order mescalita for me (Happy Hour 2-4 daily). They are closed on Tuesdays. Yum.

Our table had a shrimp tacos, a fish tacos, and the shrimp quesadillas. Everything was absolutely delicious. I really appreciated the little side, dishes of coleslaw, salsa, poblano, chilies, cucumbers, and radishes, etc. The food was flavorful and very fresh.
The restaurant is on the second floor, and it’s a very airy and bright. The bathrooms are super clean. From our table, there were great views of the shore.
The food was so flavorful and the two Belgian owners were so affable and friendly. Very thoughtful. We are so glad we came here and we highly recommend it!

What an incredible find! The food is superb. There were four of us and each was awed. Very fresh and delicious. (Fish, shrimp tacos and shrimp quesadilla plus dessert)The atmosphere is beautiful, music not too loud, service exceptional.

My wife had the fish and I had the fish tacos. Very generous portions. Lots of veggies with a big piece of fish. 3 fish tacos came with about 6 little plates of toppings. Not strictly authentic Mexican but the chef’s invention is very flavorful. Beautiful view. We will return soon. Highly recommend

Delicious, with stunning views of the coast. Stop here to enjoy some great food and chat with Joris the owner. Restaurant is on the top floor so you get a cool breeze while you look out on the ocean.
Drinks were excellent, fish tacos and shrimp tacos were generous plates with good flavor, but don’t miss out on the avocado stuffed with shrimp. We will definitely return next time we’re in La Ribera.

Efran’s is wonderful! The food was delicious and very interesting. The service was friendly and also impeccable. The setting was dreamy with beautiful views. Try the pina colada and the chile rellenos. If you are anywhere near La Ribera, go to Efran’s. You will love it.

The service is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, and you can feel the pride in this professionally restaurant the moment you walk in. The relaxed atmosphere, great margaritas, and lovely setting make it just as perfect for a casual lunch as for a relaxed dinner with friends or family. A real gem in Baja – we’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Efren’s to anyone visiting La Ribera.

Our group of six had the best time here. We started with the most delicious hand-crafted drinks for happy hour (2-5 pm) and appetizers. We hadn’t planned to stay for dinner but we were having such a good time with the excellent service and atmosphere. So glad we stayed. A memorable night out in every way. Do not hesitate to go.

We ate here 3 times in one week. The menu was varied enough that we were able to have something delicious and different on each visit. The service was warm, friendly and professional. The team in the kitchen knows what they are doing!
