This place is a cozy hidden gem with great food and service! We wanted to try something new, off the beaten path and this place did not disappoint. We started with the bruschetta, absolutely amazing! I got the adrenaline junky pizza and it is in my top 10, very good crust and topping to match. My wife got the pasta bianco and we will be coming back for that dish. They make their own pasta in house and have an extensive cocktail menu. We finished with the gingerbread crème brûlée and it was fantastic, would get again. Definitely will be coming back!

Edwin’s has a beautiful environment. Very modern but cozy and relaxed. You can come for an elegant meal or some gourmet pizzas. It seems like it could be family, friendly, or a romantic dinner for two. The employees really care that you have a great experience. Super smiley, super accommodating. And very welcoming . My waitress Jean was the bomb. She could feel my every move She recommended the surf and turf, it was lovely. My favorite was the espresso chocolate cake with lemon, whip, whipped cream! To die for. It’s kind of a must share because it’s so rich . They have live music in the atrium of the hotel so you can enjoy that as well. They also have a private Speakeasy called the Canary. Pretty cool! The Whole hotel is an experience. Make sure to check out all the awesome art!

I started this experience semi-obligatory, but with excitement to explore something new. Once I arrived, I was greeted quickly and sat.
I looked over the menu and was very impressed with the ingredients themselves, as well as how they built the dishes.
Avery was refreshingly attentive in a way that didn’t feel forced, and I didn’t feel rushed.
I ordered something I’d get from a cafe, or could make quickly at home. I submitted my order, and immediately had a thought to change it. I was here to be able to share my experience after all.
She didn’t get upset with me. I understand that may seem like an unheard of compliment, but having to put a ticket in and then change it and informing the kitchen: that can sometimes lead to them being berated and that translates to the guest’s experience. She accepted the change graciously and continued service as wonderfully as before.
I’d gotten a specialty coffee drink from the coffee bar outside, so I had water for most of the meal, and orange juice near the end. It was light, sweet, and cold. Tasted fresh squeezed, or at least of good quality store-bought.
I had the wheat pancakes. From reading the menu, I already had high expectations of the flavor profile. It exceeded even those. From visual appeal to smell, texture, TASTE… mmmm!
The lemon cinnamon whip was well balanced. Light, flavorful. It’s easy to go heavy w/cinnamon, as it has a bold taste, but it didn’t overpower the other ingredients.
The strawberry coulis literally brought tears to my eyes. It tastes just like my Grandma Carolyn’s homemade strawberry jelly. I live across the country now and don’t get to see her often, so that subtle reminder of home was heart-wrenching in the best way.
I’m a picky eater, so I usually order items deconstructed, and taste each item individually & then together (if it’s something I can stomach). Every single part was delicious on its own.
Each component of the dish complemented each other so well. Even as I leaned in to take a bite of pancake slathered in the whip & dabbed with coulis, the sweet citrusy aroma of the orange slice twist joined the dance the others were already in.
Music was enjoyable. Lighting was perfect. Seats were comfortable. The view outside the window was even phenomenal.
It was a feast for all the senses.
I came as part of Breck 101, but I will be back and bring friends and family to enjoy this hidden gem in my personal life.
P.S. I am coming out of the worst depressive episode I’ve ever had and in that euphoric portion of “everything is so much lighter.” Each bite I took, I thought, “I know I feel better, but there is no way it tastes this good. Let me try again.” & each bite was just as amazing. I kept shaking my head and holding back tears. To add some perspective, I made pancakes from scratch yesterday. They were fluffy and buttery and so good I didn’t have to throw out the first one, but these were even better.
Thank you to the Chefs, the other staff, and to Avery for making this a memorable dining experience.

If your staying at Hotel Alpenrock, I would recommend you try Edwin. The restaurant has a cozy vibe and great views. The staff were professional and kind. They made the best drinks I had in breckenridge as I was disappointed with both drinks and food on our breckenridge trip. The food was great and the star of the show was the elk green chilie stew!!!! As for the rest of the food it was ok but chiken was a bit dry. Overall, I do believe its worth what they charge and would come back!!!

Go for the elk green chile inside a house sourdough bread bowl, squash ravioli and lavender-honey cheesecake for dessert.
Attentive service, including from our bartender Eric.
Ask to go to the Canary speakeasy after dinner and get a custom (as in you call it, but top shelf) cocktail from Danny.

We had dinner twice at Edwin during our stay at Hotel Alpenrock, and both experiences were excellent.

The food was consistently delicious. The romaine salad was fresh, crisp, and light – we added steak to it, which made it perfectly balanced and satisfying without feeling too heavy. My husband ordered the steak and potatoes and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was flavorful and prepared to his liking.

We also tried the pizza, and it was a standout for me. The crust was thin (my favorite) with a chewy center and crispy edges in all the right places. It had great texture and flavor.

The kids’ menu was solid as well. Our children loved the mac and cheese and chicken tenders, which made dinner easy and enjoyable for the whole family.

Overall, a great dining experience with quality food and a comfortable atmosphere. We would absolutely return next time we’re in Breckenridge.

Not sure what is happening here but our service was horrible at best. There were maybe 6-7 tables of people and nobody at the bar. We ordered drinks that took over 25 minutes to get to the table and were barely tolerable. We needed to adjust them at the table to make them drinkable. I had the cauliflower steak, which was nothing more than two small flourettes for 24 dollars and the peach cobbler was nothing more than canned peaches with some toppings. One of our party ordered a drink with vodka NOT gin due to an allergy. The drink came and he said it had gin, server said no it is vodka, server asked bartender and sure enough it had gin. Hopefully by ski season they will work through the problems but at this point they are not ready for a full crowd. So sorry that our daughter paid for our dinner as the service and quality was so far below an acceptable level.

First visit We went there for my birthday with friends. We enjoyed the food and especially the atmosphere. Classy, and spacious. A welcome addition to the Nrexk fine dining scene, where most other options are very cramped. We definitely plan to return!
