Hats off to Ed’s Tavern LKN. My wife and I had the opportunity to dine there on Saturday, and the experience was excellent. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. We also had the pleasure of speaking with a gentleman named Mr. Gonzalez. I don’t quite remember his first name, but he went out of his way to make my wife and me feel comfortable and welcomed. It’s always refreshing to experience great food paired with genuine hospitality. We will definitely be returning.

Love the feel of the sports bar environment here. Food is great. We’ve been here several times and the wings, pretzels, chicken sandwich, pasta, and fish are all good. The only thing I don’t recommend is the Philly Cheese steak.

Our group of 4 was promptly greeted and seated on the covered porch area. The Duke/UNC basketball game was on. After we ordered drinks, but before we ordered our food, the speakers in the place (including the speaker directly above our table) were, without warning, turned up to 11. I want to make sure that there is an appreciation of how loud the broadcast volume really was. Think, putting your ear into a steel box slightly larger than a toaster, wherein a miniaturized version of the Who was playing the Rock Opera “Tommy” and while Roger and the boys were physically miniaturized, their tiny amps and drum kit were just as loud as they were when the band shredded eardrums in London in ‘76. Succinctly: Smaller Who, same decibels, enclosed in a toaster. So we asked the waitress if we could please turn the feed down to a 15th-row, Tower of Power concert level (obnoxious, but not dangerous to longterm audiological wellbeing). The waitress rolled her eyes and let us know that she would see what she could do. At least that’s what we thought she was saying, though we cannot be certain because the ESPN crew were screaming like Pinball Wizard. She returned with our drinks and and we asked if she had any luck in getting the volume turned down and she replied, “I don’t control the volume and other people (presumably those at a sister location, several towns away), want to “hear the game.” We suggested that the game could be enjoyed visually on one of the many TV’s in the place, without the collateral damage to everyone’s hammer, cochlea, stirrup and other internal ear parts. We are not sure if she heard us. After 5 more minutes of the cacophony and in order to avoid irreversible loss to one of our primary senses, we left. Not to be too dramatic, but the levels of unhelpfulness and customer disservice were staggering. My ears are still ringing (I expect a full recovery), but only because we got out of Ed’s Who toaster, and stumbled a few steps up the street to the Crafty Burg’r where, in addition to outstanding food and attentive, professional service, we were treated to a comfortable dining environment with noise levels that carbon bipods were designed to endure. Come on Ed’s, do better.

Met up with a huge group for dinner before loading up for a party boat event. I got the boom boom shrimp fried with side of sweet potato fries. Both were delish. The shrimp were big and meaty and the fries were crispy perfection.

Went there with a large group of friends. We were settled in the upper room.
Service was great considering our size. Food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The food was tasty and the prices were really good.
We hope to return again next year when we converge on the Rennaisance Faire for our annual invasion. To be noted a largish outdoor patio for service and many outdoor screens for watching sports.

A very limited menu is my only suggestion. Food tastes more like reheated than cooked recently. The ambiance and wait staff were absolutely incredible. Bartenders are some of the best I have encountered and busted it the entire evening. An overall great experience.

I have tried this place three times. Here are my three experiences…
1. Loud and drunk people on a Friday night. I walked in and walked out.
2. I entered on a Tuesday afternoon and it was relatively empty. Staff just looked at me like: “Who the hell is this guy?” I left.
3. Last night, which was a Wednesday. It was very odd because the light crowd made it feel like a VFW yet there was a bouncer at the door. Huh? Any place that has a bouncer is probably bad news if you just want to chill. I chose to roll with it anyway and when I asked the bartender if they had a drink menu, she placed a small sign in front of me with a QR Code for the menu. This shouldn’t be a big deal but this is why I left. I don’t go somewhere to have to use my phone. If I want a beer (or wine), I’m there to relax, not work. I was also in a dark corner of the bar, where it’s like being trapped in a corner. Btw, there was a drunk guy singing in the bathroom.
When at Kickback Jacks all the way in Mooresville, two people mentioned this place to me and how great it was. So, I think this is as “It’s me, not you” situation. The place should make sense in theory—it should be enjoyable when you look at it. In reality, it’s a no for me. I’ll stick to my favorite haunts (and find a new place to add so I have 3.5).
All that said, I still might pop in one more time during the day to confirm I don’t like it.

The food is good and the place is cute but i’ve been twice and both times it feels like the staff pays zero attention to the customers. Both times I had to wait almost 20 min for a drink and had to ask for it a second time for them to grab it. Even when we were one of the only tables there. Just feels like both times I was there all of us were constantly looking around to see where our server was.

The staff were definitely the highlight as they were great! And the food was passable – although the beer and liquor selection is boring. It’s nothing special (on par with stuff you’d get at Chili’s). However, the atmosphere is a total let down. All of the charm and character this building used to have is gone – in fact it’s got the same amount of character and style as a slice of white bread.
Decoration inside is bland – only a small handful of flat beer signs and TVs against baron brick walls. The interior looks and feels like it’s Ai generated, and calling it a “sports bar” is a stretch. The main issue is the lighting. It’s the brightest “sports bar” you’ll ever step into and it snuffs out any charm or comfortable atmosphere this place still had.
I just can’t recommend this place when there are so many better feeling – and better tasting – sports bars all over Cornelius/Huntersville.
