Came here to dine for Father’s Day and they were very busy of course. Waiters were very attentive and sweet, they had a buffet where they served very tasty options of entrees and dessert. I had fried chicken and brisket and mashed potatoes. The food here is very tasty and fulfilling, at affordable price.

The best place around if you ask my opinion. If you want to leave full and most likely not be able to finish your plate, head in to ED’S PLACE! Second to none home cooked food.

Reasonable prices, very large portions. My breakfast was delicious and the coffee was very good. This was the largest small town cafe that I’ve ever been in. We arrived at 7am. It would be really busy if full.

This is about as hometown good old fashioned American diners get.

Usual breakfast fare with generous portion sizes, the staff were lovely and the service was excellent. The drinks were slightly on the expensive side compared to other places we have visited recently. Open Sunday mornings.

A seasoned and large dining area with 3 different seating spaces stretched out over the footprint of the property leaves plenty of room for groups of any size. The food, classic American diner food, comes in good-sized portions and is cooked with the care of an expert. It tasted amazing! All the textures are right and the flavors distinct. The staff is very attentive and professional, with correct orders served promptly.

If you’re staying or passing through, be like the locals and make this your go-to haunt for when you are hungry and don’t feel like cooking. The prices are more than fair and you get what you pay for.

If I’m in town again, I’ll definitely be eating here again!

Cool old-timey down-home breakfast/lunch cafe. We miss these kind of places, and too often when you find one it’s run down and dirty but this dining room & the restroom were clean, the service was 5 star, the food came fast, and cooked as ordered.

Coffee served in a nice big mug, refills without waiting. I ordered the Hay Stack with marble rye toast. Husband ordered the Lumberjack skillet with biscuits & gravy. You won’t go away hungry (I took 1/3 of mine to go).

Busy and obviously popular. We live in another town, but will return for sure.

We come to McCook often, and had been looking for some where new to eat. We found Ed’s place on Google and Decided to try it out. It’s a well established diner with a very loyal following. It was delicious! I was very excited to see Colorado style green chili sauce on the menu. Breakfast burritos was huge and very tasty. Table next to us got fried chicken for lunch and it looked really good. We’ve been back many times since our first visit and will keep going back.

The best dinner I have seen in a long time staff friendly and prompt and made us feel very welcome. Refreshing to see many groups coming in and no one being rushed to hurry up! The food was amazing down home cooking. Best eating experience in a long time . Definitely recommend stopping and bring your appetite

Great small dinner to stop in for a meal. The food was great. The small town dinner has a great selection and would recommend everyone to stop and try. The portions are big and I feel priced accordingly. If your in town stop by for a great meal!
