I could not even finish my food before leaving a review due to such high disappointment. I’ve eaten there before and the service is usually pretty bad, you kinda feel unwanted or like you bothering them. They act like it’s their house not like they are here for the customer, no real professionalism or grace. But I can say a few years ago, the food made up for it now it is bland, dry, The meat is tougher than stale bubblegum. Plates made small portions and sloppy. No gravy or real sauce on the roast and rice. Macaroni cheese, watery, and greasy at the same time, yams taste like they were straight out of the can. No sugar added not even cooked long enough, was still chunky and had a weird imitation, vanilla extract taste.( I had too smush it around because it was just too big chunks) The greens were not terrible but not good either, The ribs were tough and basic. Their sauce is clearly store-bought with no special touch added except water maybe. The only thing that I can say nice was that the dressing was good, still very dry but somewhat enjoyable. Everything else was honestly beyond disappointing, and with a total coming up to $34 for 2 small plates with no drink I do at least expect to enjoy my food especially from a home, cooked mom and pop type of restaurant. I have recommended so many people to them over the years and ate there so many times before and I haven’t had it for over a year since my last experience was quite the same. However, today took the cake. They don’t know how to smile, like NEVER. You can tell the food isn’t made with love, care or intention, nor are you being served that way, just here to make money now.

Everything was perfect!! Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Food hit the spot! You can dine in or take out. There is indoor seating. We traveled from florida, I wish it was closer so we could have it all the time.

I should’ve trusted my instincts — one car in the parking lot should’ve been my first clue. I stopped in hoping for some good fried chicken, but was told it wasn’t ready. All the other meats were sitting in gravy, so I settled for the ribs. I got ribs, okra, and sweet potatoes. The total came to $19.70.

Just one street over, at work, I opened the food — it was already cold. The okra had no flavor, the sweet potatoes were average at best, and the ribs? Tough and dry. Very disappointing.

I won’t be back. A hard-earned reminder to go where the parking lot has cars… and the food has flavor.

We were told about the food and service at this location. It was worth the drive because the food was delicious . We got a veggie plate, turkey wings w/ dressing, and smothered pork chops w/ rice and gravy. We will go back because they have a great meat and sides selection.

Absolutely outstanding – brought two visiting Korean colleagues here, and it began an obsession with American BBQ. Great atmosphere, awesome service, delicious food ! Love this place!

The disgustingly long, hot pink, fake fingernail on those ribs tells you all you need to know. Last meal I purchased there 2 years ago was over $18 bucks and went straight into the rubbish bin. Long gone are the days this place was packed and with a line way outside the door.

This is my favorite location to go too! I love the food. However the customer service is horrible! If you’re going to raise your prices, please let the quality reflect through your prices also! I do not want my plate threw together or threw around.
Update: If you show up near closing, expect horrible customer service. I went yesterday during lunch and my plate was loaded plus the customer service was amazing! However today, whew….. If I’m spending $17 on a plate, I expect my sides to be completely full. This is a disgrace because it clearly isn’t $17 worth of food. Is it good? Yes! Is it worth $17? Nope! Photos attached to show that I’m not playing.

A patient referred me here, they boasted every time I saw them about how good it is, but I was skeptical at first. I do not eat BBQ. However this turkey wing smothered with gravy rice, sweet potato soufflé, and the broccoli n cheese casserole is so good! I’m thankful that I made the decision to try it.
