I have only been to two other hibachi restaurants and have never been disappointed. I had the pleasure of enjoying this experience with my boyfriend and child – which made me love it all the more! Our chef was amazing and the food was delish!

The only notes I had: we had to wait for another party to join us before being served; which would have been fine, had we been informed of the twenty minute wait. And, the waitstaff was quite inattentive. It took longer than half an hour to get a refill. ‍♀️

My wife and I (and as they arrived, our children) have been coming here for close to 20 years. After the original owners were gone, the experience and menu declined somewhat, but they were still our favorite. Tonight we visited for celebration of my (excessive age not disclosed) birthday as has been our tradition. What transpired has left us rather dissatisfied.

I would estimate we have eaten hibachi between 200-300 times in the last 20 years. I’m not an expert, but I’m experienced and always try to connect with the staff. Doing so has given me insight to the point of view from across the grill.

The bottom line is this: the service, food, and experience tonight has likely resulted in our last visit to this establishment. We received burned eggs in our over-sauced (and doubled, per our request and expense) fried rice. Burned – as in the subtle brilliance of hibachi fried rice was completely obscured by the acrid prevalence of the sole protein involved. Our chef spoke very little English, which is par for the course and expected. Pun intended; but I’m not proud of it. However, they also failed to provide anything beyond a mumbled and unintelligible recitation of an incorrectly written order. No cooking utensil acumen, no puns (egg roll, etc), no volcano, train, fireworks, etc. In fact, they, without warning, terrified our 3 year old with a singular oversized oil fire – then proceeded to burn previously mentioned eggs in said burned oil. While we consoled our rightly concerned 3 year old, our two teenage children raised their newly hairless brows (eyebrows grow back, I hope) at the negligence and silence of our apparently inexperienced cook.

We enjoyed our meal by piling egg ash on the side of our plates – they accompanied our empty (unrefilled) drink (Dr pepper, tea) glasses quite well throughout the evening – and eating the remainder of what we were served.

We had the opportunity to assure our fellow table mates that that experience wasn’t normal, and that in fact it was quite the opposite of our experience. Then I tipped 20+ percent and we left more than 1/4 of $1000 on the table to commiserate our night.

I don’t believe I have ever felt quite so uncared about at any food establishment in my life. I’ve also never left a negative review about a restaurant. If you’ve read this, Kyoto is 5 minutes away. Dress a little nicer, spend slightly more, and actually enjoy the experience.

My husband and I’s experience at this resturaunt was outstanding! I would honestly rate more than 5 stars if I could!

We came during dinner time (probably 6 or 7 PM). Service was super fast and very attentive! Our waiter had a big smile on his face and was super polite! Brought my husband a refill before he even realized it was half full!

We had the fried calamari, eel roll, 99 roll, tonkatsu pork, grilled seafood.

The calamari was cooked perfectly, I could bite through it with my front teeth and even with the better calamari I’ve had I don’t think I’ve ever been able to do that!

The eel roll and 99 roll were both excellent. My husband thought that the rice seemed soft and overcooked but I noticed they seem to use long grain rice instead of the very short grained sushi rice, this is likely why it seems softer. To me it’s not a deal breaker, it tasted just fine so I was plenty happy! I also highly recommend the 99 roll it is bursting with flavor!

The miso soup, salad, and fried rice that came with the entres were all good. I was a bit sad at the fried rice not having any veggies but the flavor was so good I did not mind. I realized when I finished the rice that it looked like they are using either butter or ghee (or some other kind of light yellow oil, noticed traces of it on the inside of the bowl) and that would explain it tasting so good!

The entres, my husband and I both sampled eachother’s, his seafood tasted excellent, was cooked perfectly, and had excellent flavor. My tonkatsu, I’m not even kidding and I’m saying this 100% sober, the sauce tastes like Christmas. It’s okay, you can laugh, I’m still laughing about it myself. But no seriously, it is heavy with ginger and sugar which reminds me of gingerbread (it works with the sauce though and isn’t overpowering) and has a very strong citrus flavor that might be yuzu? I haven’t actually had it myself so I don’t actually know what it tastes like, but it tasted like lemon crossed with orange and very tart like a cranberry sauce. I could be completely wrong though, maybe it’s just good old citric acid. Whatever it is, I absolutely loved it and would happily come back for the tonkatsu and that sauce!

Oh and I also see an earlier review stating they wished you could choose between fried rice and steamed, you can! Our waiter asked us which one we wanted before putting in our order.

If there was one thing I could gripe about it would be that the sushi menus need to be redone, they need to be laminated so they are easier to clean. They are grimey and I can tell they had tried to clean them by how wet they are but there is only so much you can do with paper, putting a plastic coating on them will really help with that! I would not say that this ruined my experience though.

I haven’t had Hibachi in quite some time so I’ve been looking forward to trying it. I ordered their filet mignon and chicken hibachi and it was so good! I added the extra $2 to have the Hibachi fried rice and that was the right decision that was the most delicious fried rice I think I’ve had in quite some time, if ever. The chicken was wonderfully seasoned, moist, and had delicious flavor. The first thing I dove into was the vegetables which was wonderfully cooked with a light sauce, you could have the vegetable hibachi and be full and delighted. The filet mignon was tender and juicy. It was more than I could finish I ended up taking a box home and eating it later for dinner. The atmosphere is way better than you see online in fact some of the pictures that I saw didn’t particularly interest me concerning the atmosphere, so I took some pictures while there hoping to capture that it has a nice, darker tone with bright red colors and bright black colors. It really puts you in a nice mood and could potentially be more romantic than it first seemed with the lighter pictures that I found online. I would not mind coming back, I would like to try their Sushi as well as their gyoza. Very delicious meal!

The host at the door was definitely not friendly, once seated, the waitress was fast and friendly in the beginning, the cook that made our dinner in the grill, did not do show, was not friendly, undercooked the food(shrimp was chewy),use a lot of rice for 2 eggs, was extremely hard to understand since there was a language barrier. Also the waitress forgot our drinks so once we were done she remembered,so we just cancelled the drinks. The soup they gave in the beginning was more water flavored than anything, the salad dressing seemed old because of the texture and flavor.
On a positive note:They did have chopsticks and something to help the kids with the chopsticks.

I waited over 35 minutes for a to-go order, only for it to be completely wrong. I ordered a ramen entrée and a hibachi entrée, specifying rare for the steak, but it was well done. I also paid extra for double fried rice but received noodles instead. Despite requesting no salad and double soup, the order came with salad. With fewer than four couples in the restaurant, the poor service and incorrect order for almost $60 is ridiculous.
Got a refund for one entrée just Looked at my Ramen did not come with anything besides one egg and one piece of meat did not come with bamboo shoots, onions, corn, or anything that said in the description. Highly disappointed!

This place is super good! While it may be pricey, you really get your money’s worth. The shrimp tempura rolls were about 8$ and there were 5-6 rolls, but the rolls were HUGE and jam-packed with flavor! You also get a free drink if you leave a review, haha.. but genuinely the food is really good. All the employees are really nice and they didn’t make me feel bad for having to use trainer chopsticks. The atmosphere is modern and traditional, and the low lighting makes dining comfortable. 10/10!!

This gem is located in a little strip shopping center right off of the HWY I30. The food….WOW! We started with a tempura appetizer consisting of shrimp, broccoli, mushroom, onion, and sweet potato….came out hot and cooked to perfection. I ordered the Temptation Roll; it was one of the best rolls ive ever had, and i have had my share of sushi rolls. My lovely lady got the deep fried Happy Roll….it was outstanding. Also ordered a side of fried rice….listen, if you like fried rice you have to come and get it here, havent had better in DFW. Great atmosphere, decent prices, and excellent food. The server Justin was perfect; friendly, prompt, knowledgeable, and great at recommending different different dishes. The manager Michael is running a nice place here. Our new Japanese spot. You won’t regret it whatsoever.

Came in for a last minute decision on a place to eat and was NOT disappointed! We were seated immediately without a wait. We were served delicious miso and clear mushroom soup, which was fantastic as it was very cold outside. We chose Shrimp Tempura Upon Soup dinner which came with fried rice on the side, a beautiful mixed vegetable medley and outstanding calamari!!! We will happily come back for more!

Honeymoon had to enjoy our fav: Sushi! Great place for it!
Love the sushi And hibachi! Great service!
Grilled seafood hibachi platter was all perfectly done. To nail the scallops tender & warm is always a skill! Perfect shrimp, salmon, onions, and everything else, all tied together with a wonderful sauce. Great timing to get all done right And blend flavors so well.
Sushi was fantastic, too!
Smoke Salmon Killer is toasted, so warm salmon ready to enjoy! Not such a fan of eel sauce but a dip in soy moved it up several points in flavor rating!!
Hawaiian is Tuna and avocado atop a California roll. +Yum!
And Chefs Rockwell fire roll (local name) was a great combo of flavors!
We will return, with friends, Snd for our Anniversaries!
