The location offers a beautiful view, but unfortunately, our experience with the food and service fell short. Customer service was average, and the dishes we ordered were not worth the price, with much of the food arriving cold and soggy. Additionally, mosquitoes can be a significant issue in the evening. While the setting is appealing, the overall experience could use improvement.

This is one of the first places I ever visited at the Villages and it’s always a must-do whenever we visit. You can sit outside under the beautiful, old, mossy live oaks, have a meal, sip a drink, and listen to some live music. They get big crowds and seating is limited and people can be stingy. One couple took up an entire picnic table and wouldn’t let us sit with them, so just to be on the safe side, bring your own folding chair. The service is also very, very slow. They’re doing the best they can, but they have just a couple of staff dealing with the entire crowd. I don’t know what they get paid, but it’s probably not enough. Tip them well, they deserve it.

We love bringing our dogs to enjoy a late morning. They are a bit aggressive on the no outside containers. To be fair if they weren’t folks would probably try packing a full picnic and sit at their tables all day. Ask for an ice stick if you order a pitcher. I don’t go there during the season, but if you do be prepared to bring your own chair. The music can be a bit loud depending on whose performing. We arrange our seats accordingly. The food is good and the beer selection is a little better than average for the Villages.

It’s a beautiful atmosphere with pretty good food. The downside — you might have a long wait to get food especially on a weekend when there’s music. It was near 90 and many folks waited in line in the hot sun over a half hour just to order food with only one open window. Then if you want a drink, you have to get in the other long line at the bar, not with your food order. Then another decent wait to pick up the food. My recommendation is to go at an off time. I spent an hour of my time while the music was playing getting food for our party. Thankfully there are a good bit of tables

The food was very tasty & healthy and the food was priced too low for the huge portion I received. I ordered the pulled pork with tater tots. My portion was so
LARGE that I couldn’t finish it, and I took my leftover home with me to have for lunch the next day. WOW!
