My review is for the event staff and event quality. I had my welcome dinner here in August the day before our wedding and chose the outdoor area (think it was the Bower).

The food was all great. Fans kept us cool and the cover protected us from a quick rain storm. Staff were great and took care of all the details and were accommodating with our decor and wishes. We were going for a casual venue with the ability for people to spread out and talk and this met that demand perfectly.

My only negative was the parking. When we visited and when we planned to have our event here, parking was plentiful. But when our actual event came around, I believe the Italian restaurant next door had just opened. It was very difficult for my guests to find parking. This was around 7pm on a Friday.

Photos are from various visits to the venue prior to the event.

The prettiest key lime I ever did see! We came here for our double birthday dinner and we’re blown away with the incredible customer service, chill vibes amazing food (order the green goddess salad with fried chicken you won’t be disappointed!). They made our birthday feel so special in such a lovely venue. By far the best restaurant and brewpub in Charleston!

Finally got the chance to try this place, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to our expectations. While we really enjoy Edmund’s Oast beer, the restaurant side didn’t make the same impression. The food was good, and the portions were generous, but something felt missing. My wife ordered the fried catfish with grits, which was the standout dish of the night. My son and I shared the whole chicken, with one half original and the other half Korean style. The original was underwhelming, but the Korean-style chicken was packed with flavor and heat. As for the sides—rice and beans, collard greens, and pasta salad—they were good but nothing particularly memorable.

The service wasn’t bad, just a bit off and felt a little strange. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, and I can see why reservations are necessary. Overall, I’d rate it a 4.5. It’s a solid spot, but we didn’t leave feeling like it was somewhere we’d come back to.

Excellent venue in a very competitive restaurant scene! Great upscale brewery atmosphere and extremely high quality food at a very reasonable price. The fried chicken may be the best I’ve ever had (try the Korean and Garlic Crab sauces), incredible beer and cocktail selection. Service was friendly and prompt making for a very enjoyable dinner!

Lunch outside is SO GREAT!! Cool breezes blow. Lots of shady areas and they have fans on. They have both large picnic tables & large tables with chairs. Menus wait for you at the tables…you walk over to the bar to place your order & pay & then they carry your order out to ya.! We arrived about 11:55 a.m. on a Thursday-not even crowded. 🙂 You can have your dog under the table or the baby in a stroller next to the table.
Food servings are enough to share the 2 piece fried chicken with 2 sides. Love Love Love the Mac & Peas side as a meal!!! Thank you for a Wonderful lunch outside!

We love the Edmunds Oast outdoor dining experience! Happy hour $4 beer (only House Golden or IPA), and some very good burgers, but we actually most enjoyed the curly fries and Garlic Pots (potatoes). Not to mention the rest of their great beers on tap!
The atmosphere is great for sitting outside, with covered picnic tables, open tables, or groups of slatted chairs (sometimes they have solo stoves going too!).

Came in as a group of 8 (4 kids) and had a great time. Amazing outdoor and indoor space. I love how dark and moody the inside is. We sat at a big booth and our server was so on top of it. I loved the French 75, it’s a clean and crisp cocktail. We shared the hummus & pita and the pimento cheese as apps. For the entree I ordered the spicy Korean meatballs and WOW – they had such a good kick to them. So much flavor.

The smoked salmon toast is a must!! This photo doesn’t do it justice. This has been my go-to order for a while but it is better than ever. The buttery toasted bread, amazing smoked salmon, and then the aioli and picked cucumbers are such a good addition. The flavors are not what you’d expect for a salmon toast but they all work so well! 10/10

A truly exceptional experience. The atmosphere is wonderful. Great lighting, large bar, comfy seats and a bit of disco playing.

The staff were inviting and just attentive enough (if you know what I’m saying). Real engagement. Aware of when to engage and when to let us have our conversation. A seasoned staff (not to imply age but rather intuitive).

As for the food… there is an option to buy a six-pack for the “kitchen staff”. I certainly did. I haven’t had a good shrimp po boy since I lived in NOLA. The fried chicken was amazing. A hidden gem is the pasta salad. I will not reveal. All i can say is that I haven’t had my palate surprised in ages… Wonderful

The vanilla ice cream is amazing as well
