We went here to eat with a 3.8 star review to see for ourselves. This place is easy a 4.0 to 4.5 star review in our experience. Sweat tea was spot on just like we like it in the south….good and sweat. Cheese dip was amazing and all our food was good and enjoyable just not the best we have had. All Mexican restaurants have their spin on the food and like others the food was great and just a bit different than others. I do wish the chips had been heated but they seem to be served straight out the bag. BUT combo the chips with warm cheese dip and you are good to good! Overall its a great place to go in this small town if your hungry for some Mexican food. We will continue to visit this restaurant as long as our experience stays the same or better.

Well fiest of all I dont understand why people have a mexican restaurant but there not mexican. The food is not authentic. The flower tortillas were probably heated up for a couple seconds The corn tortillas weren’t even cooked all the way through. Food was decent not gonna lie. But I can’t see myself coming back again. Best of luck.

Would it be possible to pickup Robles Cantina in Tappahannock and just move it to this location??? Bland food, drinks in bottles without glasses, no white sauce, a step up (or down) from Taco Bell. Should be out of business soon

We’ve eaten here for breakfast and dinner and we love it. The atmosphere is very chill and family friendly and we’ve liked everything we’ve ordered. It’s a great place to get breakfast in town, and they have kept their prices pretty consistent through all of the recent inflation. The owners also own Lucano’s, which is one of our favorite restaurants around here.

Just moved here to west point and honestly wasn’t super impressed the people that worked there were super genuine and very satisfactory. But the food was very bland and had absolutely no flavor the chicken tasted like canned chicken.
if a few updateds were made to the menu/ Food… i would probably feel a whole lot different. They need to downsize the menu and keep classics….classic. there was just to much and overwhelming amount of Entries. It was also 15$ for a margaritas with nothing on the rim so when I say upgrades to the food I mean add more flavor and spice like green chilies and spices into the chicken or something and detail to drinks. Cause we paid over $50.00 dollars for some real bland food. Also the menus were super dirty and had old food all over them. But nothing that can’t be fixed. Cleanliness does matter. Huge potential here but lacking discipline.

Food was fresh and not greasy, you can tell they take pride in it. The waitress was more than friendly, they were on top of the refills the whole time. We have 2 young children and my youngest, who has no filter, said out loud that she didn’t like red sauce and without asking the waitress brought her some queso that was very good. Very impressed we will be coming back.

My family loves Mexican food but this isn’t it. The sweet tea tasted like dirty water, the salsa was incredibly bland, my children wouldn’t even eat the cheese quesadilla. We also ordered fajitas and enchiladas both of which were not good at all. We would have been better off going to Taco Bell.

Probably some of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. Usually hole in the wall places are good. 23$ for cheese dip that tasted like it was frozen 4 months ago, and 2 steak tacos that didn’t even taste like steak. People seem good but the food made me feel sick. Rice tasted like bleach. Fix the food and this place would be badass.

I’m not sure if it was an off day when we went or if something has changed about the restaurant, but I’m not sure where some of these 4 & 5 star reviews are coming from for this place. The salsa didn’t taste good, the chips were stale, and the lime Margarita tasted like lemon-lime Gatorade (and definitely didn’t taste like it had any tequila). The food was decent, but sub-par for Mexican. The service was miserably slow, but it also seemed like they only had two people working up front. I don’t plan on coming back

I ordered a large bag of chips, a cup of salsa, and also a cup of cheese dip and the total came out to $26!! i watched the woman checking me out type $13 dollars into the register and i though “hey, that’s not that bad $13.00 for some chips, salsa, and cheese dip” but i was wrong she then proceeded to type in $4.50 and then another $4.50! i was in shock! the total after taxes came out to be $26 and some change. also when i got home the chips were pretty much stale. i know it’s 2024 but $26 for some chips, salsa, and cheese is OUTRAGEOUS! i don’t know if i will be spending any more money at this restaurant. i am just very disappointed in how HIGH the prices have gotten.
