Edessa Restaurant is an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding — friendly, welcoming, and very attentive without being overwhelming. The staff made us feel comfortable and truly taken care of.

The food was amazing. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The grilled fish was juicy and well-seasoned, the mixed grill platter was tender and full of rich smoky flavor, and the rice and sides were perfectly balanced. Even the dessert was on another level — crispy, warm, and not too sweet, just perfect.

You can really tell they care about quality, presentation, and customer experience. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious food all in one place.

Highly recommended — definitely coming back again!

My family and I went to Edessa for my mom’s birthday. I’ve been hearing from friends for so long that we need to go because it is so good! We ordered so many things including the Patlican Ezmesi (Baba Ghanoush), Yaprak Sarma (Stuffed Grape Leaves), Kuzu Sis (Lamb Shish Kabob), Lamb Shank, Lahmacun, the Pick 2 with Lamb Kabobs and Chicken Kabobs, Chocolate Lava Cake, and Kunafe. Oh my gosh so much food! We all absolutely loved all of the kabobs. I am super particular about rice so it was not my favorite, but the meat was so flavorful and tender. The Lamb Shank was also incredibly tender and came in this really yummy sauce. The Lahmacun was a new dish to us and essentially was a tortilla-like flatbread with ground meat cooked onto it that you eat with vegetables. The appetizers were both good, but honestly I could skip them next time since the entrees were even better. Since it was my mom’s birthday the waiters were so kind to bring the chocolate lava cake with a candle and sing her happy birthday. The Kunafe was warm and sweet and so good! We all had such a wonderful time and would love to go back. Parking is super easy with a large shared lot right out front.

Edeasa really delivers an excellent dining experience for lunch or dinner. The exterior in a strip mall shouldn’t put you off as once inside you’ll be in a delightful well decorated restaurant that’s very comfortable. The service is fast friendly and attentive. The food is incredibly good. Authentic Turkish and Kurdish cuisine offers something for everyone. If you’re adventurous their are several unique dishes like Turkish dumplings and eggplant puree. If feeling something familiar then they offer kebabs and a full Cornish hen. We recently tried the clay pot dish and wow the deep savory flavors really develop into perfect stew like dish. Don’t skip desert I really recommend the kunefe. It’s warm crispy and just the right amount of sweetness with a great texture. Perfect for two people. Edeasa is worth a drive every time.

Edessa delivered an excellent experience from start to finish. The service was attentive and efficient, and the food came out impressively fast without sacrificing quality.

I highly recommend starting with the appetizer platter, it’s the best way to sample the variety of flavors Edessa offers, and everything on it was fresh and well-prepared. For the main dishes, the turkey pizza stood out with a great balance of toppings and flavor, and the falafel was crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and clearly made with care.

Overall, Edessa combines great food, quick service, and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s a solid choice whether you’re going for a full meal or want to try a little bit of everything.

The people that work there are incredibly respectful and kind. Special thanks to Nuh who took really good care of me. The food was amazing I got myself a mixed grill platter and it was finger-licking good with a huge traditional bronze cup of Ayran. Later on I ordered a slice of tiramisu which was very light and delicious. And they even brought me a tea free of charge! Kurdish cuisine and hospitality at it’s best! This place is a must visit for the people who know what they want.

Edesa Nashville: Where the Lamb Surrenders and the Bread Defies Gravity
Nashville’s dining scene is crowded, but Edesa stands out not just for its exquisite Turkish cuisine, but for an experience that genuinely feels cool. The ambiance is exactly what you want—warm, inviting, and just loud enough to feel lively without shouting. The service staff operates with a quiet, efficient grace that makes you feel genuinely cared for, which is always the secret ingredient to a great night out.
But let’s talk about the main event. If you go, the Lamb Shank is a non-negotiable pilgrimage. It wasn’t just fall-off-the-bone; it was persuaded off the bone with the gentle authority of a culinary master. Paired with the Turkish excellent rice—a savory, complex delight—it was a dish that earns an immediate spot in the city’s Hall of Fame.
Now, for the true spectacle: the bread. They generously bring out complimentary bread, but you owe it to yourself to order the Lavash. This isn’t just leavened dough; it’s a big puffy ball of bread—a carb cloud, an edible balloon, a highly-leavened triumph that somehow manages to be crispy, chewy, and impossibly light all at once. Watching it arrive at the table is half the fun.
Edesa delivers on all fronts. It’s a wonderfully delicious, perfectly serviced, and truly cool experience that you’ll be talking about long after the last piece of sky-high lavash is gone. Go for the flavor, stay for the fluffy spectacle. Wonderful Turkish coffee too.

The Kabob Festival for 6 at Edessa Restaurant is an absolute masterclass in communal dining and a true feast for the senses. Designed for sharing, the massive platter arrives as a stunning landscape of perfectly charred meats, featuring everything from succulent lamb chops and tender cubes of beef shish to spice-kissed Adana and juicy chicken skewers, all resting on a generous bed of fragrant, buttery rice and fire-grilled vegetables. The sheer variety ensures that everyone at the table finds a favorite, while the accompanying fresh, tangy salads and pillowy, house-made Lavaş bread provide the perfect bright contrast to the rich, smoky flavors of the charcoal grill.
Beyond the meat, the platter is a celebration of Kurdish and Turkish seasoning, where the subtle heat of Aleppo pepper and the tang of sumac elevate every bite without overpowering the high-quality cuts. It’s more than just a meal; the massive portions and vibrant, aromatic presentation create a natural centerpiece for conversation, capturing the true spirit of Middle Eastern hospitality. For a group of six, there is simply no better way to experience the full breadth of Edessa’s culinary expertise in one sitting. Finishing the feast with their robust Turkish coffee and flaky, honey-soaked baklava makes for an unforgettable evening that offers incredible value for the quality provided.

The staff was friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in the door. We had the sigara and sampler platter for appetizers, and both were phenomenal! Everything had such great flavor. I got the pick two kebab platter and tried the adana and kofta – both were so flavorful and delicious! Will definitely be back!
