The food there is made-to-order, and reasonably priced! We had the elk burger, “elk plop” aka tator tots with cheese, and the Humboldt Wrap with grilled chicken and ranch. Portion sizes were great, and they take tap-to-pay, which was really convenient! If the weather had been nicer during our visit, we would’ve utilized the brightly colored picnic tables that are set up right next to the shack. Great little place!

Awesomeness all around! My husband and I both come from a small town in Northern California and work in the service industry and this was such a wonderful experience! We were on a road adventure from Brookings to Orick for my birthday lunch and found this sweet spot. Not only was the food fresh and outstanding but the small town vide and conversation made us feel at home. ♥️ We.also live in a small town and we understand how important that feeling can be for costumers.. Burger and elk burger and quesdilla and the sweet lady even made out picky kid a grilled cheese..it was literally all fire!

This place is good for a quick, and satisfying bite. This snack shack delivers on classic fries and burgers without over complicating things. We had ordered chicken strips and fries (seagull’s nest) and a chicken burger.They were hearty and filling. The cheerful umbrellas add a fun, beachy vibe. Ketchup, mustard, and mayo stand like a condiment army on the counter.

Yummy food, more than we could eat. Their milkshakes are delicious! Clean tables outside and the lady’s got a green thumb

If you’re up in the redwoods or passing through and need a little comfort food, this is a great place to stop and get some fries, onion rings, hot dogs, tater-tots and ice cream. The ice cream scoops are enormous!! You can easily share a small between two or three people, they are very generous with their servings. Cute outdoor patio that’s great for kids.

This was certainly a hidden gem! The food was delicious, and the company was entertaining. There was an older gentleman (a local) there, and we spoke with him the whole time we were there. He was so interesting, full of info and history. The lady (i’m assuming the owner) was also so friendly and very helpful with information for continuing our trip.
Sorry, back to the food. I had a single beef burger with grilled mushrooms and onions. Let me tell you, it was so very delicious. Hubby had a single beef burger with lettuce and tomatoes and also said it was amazing!!
Don’t drive past this little Snack Shack, it’s a sit outside and eat, it’s a must stop!!!

It was pretty good quality food and portions, just slightly overpriced for what it is, specially for “small town” vibes and service
The customer service was great, kind staff.
Peeking into the kitchen, could use some.. cleanliness.. but I also eat tacos in TJ, So it isn’t a deterrent to me.
Food was fresh and hot, would go there again.

Having this place in the area is very convenient for a quick lunch. However it was kind of overpriced for a basic burger. Vegetarian patty was flavorful but the chicken was very bland. Anyway the staff was very nice and friendly. There are couple of benches outside to sit.

A little restaurant serving beef & elk burgers, chicken sandwiches, chilli, fries and other American fast food. Everything is made to order. They claim their burgers are the best in town. It’s likely. Their cheese burger was pretty good, fresh, hot, and tasty. Their fries are hot and crispy. Everything reminds me of the best backyard barbeque. There’s plenty of patio seating at picnic tables. I’m glad I visited this tiny coastal kitchen.
