Do not drive thru Hayward without eating here. Wife had the Olive burger, very good. The Rueben is perhaps the best Rueben I have ever had. Excellent food and top notch service.

We were passing through Hayward and stumbled across Eddy’s while we were walking around town shopping. This place is not on any of the main streets so it’s probably not as easy to find as some other restaurants in Hayward but we liked the unique menu and atmosphere. It reminded me of an old-time diner and some of the cleanest restaurant bathrooms I have ever seen. They are noted for their Italian beef sandwiches. The smashed cashew burger sounded better than it tasted. You will definitely need a lot of napkins as the burgers and sandwiches were overflowing with juices and gooeyness. Prices were reasonable.

Sweetest Gluten Friendly spot in Hayward WI. Looking for comfort food, this is a must stop! Staff was amazing and thorough; explained options and possible cross contamination.
The fried chicken tenders (*just a minute, having a fantastic flash back) were amazing! Best crunch I’ve had in years. Fries were so tasty with the homemade sauces. I had the chipotle mayo.
I’ll be back for certain!

Eddie’s on Third is an absolute gem! The burgers are out of this world, and the daily specials are always delicious. They go above and beyond for anyone with celiac or gluten intolerance, they even have a separate fryer, which is such a rare and thoughtful touch.
The staff is friendly and helpful, and I had the chance to chat with the owner, super nice guy who clearly cares about both the food and his customers. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, this place is just all-around fantastic. Do it! You won’t regret it.

Can you say HOMEMADE and mean it? This small spot tucked away on a side street is a total hidden gem. The customer service was outstanding—some of the best we’ve had in a long time.
The Poutine is a must—one of the best combos. The Reuben was perfection from the meat to the bread, and the Italian beef combo was hands down 5 STAR.
Make Eddy’s on Third a stop on your next Hayward road trip—you will NOT be disappointed.

I can’t wait to go back! It seems like this place just knocks everything they make out of the park. The eddy sauce is a must with your fresh hand cut fries. The burgers that went by looked great, as well as the cheese curds! My Italian beef was excellent along with the au jus. The ideas and quality of the food are really refreshing. Eddy was super nice and spent a few minutes chatting about ideas and the way he does things. IT is a MUST stop when you are in Hayward. I can’t wait to try the cream cheese on a burger the next time.

Our first time here and certainly not the last! By far THE BEST Reuben sandwich we’ve ever had and Lord knows we’ve had lots of them. The corned beef, made in-house, was wonderfully delicious and there was a VERY generous portion of it on the sandwich that was grilled to perfection. Loved every bite.
We were dazzled by Eddy’s Italian Beef. So juicy good! We did the combo sandwich with an Italian sausage on it. Wow! What a taste explosion, even moreso after adding the homemade, finely chopped giardiniera. Of course there was a cup of au jus for dipping.
The place is great. Very friendly employees and owner/chef Eddy makes a point of saying hello to everyone and making sure his customers are happy.
I can’t imagine any of them being anything but happy—and full. Very generous portions and very delicious food most of which is prepared in-house.

I ate here 3 times in the past two days, seriously…. Some of the best sandwiches and appetizers that I’ve eaten in a long long time. Immediately upon the first bite you could tell that the ingredients were beyond fresh and seasoned perfectly. The decor and lighting are beautiful as well (make a point to check out the bathrooms). If I didn’t live almost 400 miles away I’d eat here every day!

Fantastic Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. The fries are handcut and also very good. My husband’s cheeseburger looked very tasty. There isn’t much to the place… counter service and seating like a fast food joint. I didn’t love the ambiance. You’re not going to linger here like you might at a fancier sit-down place. But the food might be better. And the service is fast. There’s a lot on the menu that seems worth a try… and I’m looking forward to that. We’ll be back.
