Sweet little burrito shop in small-town New Mexico. Best described as a subway or chipotle style of service where you pick what you would like. This place may offer the greatest service of any place I have reviewed in my extensive guide book. I would recommend the soft tacos and burritos, as the nachos were slightly lacking. Extremely cost effective pricing and great service are the best parts of this place. Inside is okay and there are many flies flying around. Bathroom is ok. They also have a drive thru.

Oh my goodness, these are the best burritos I’ve had in a very, very long time! I’m only back for a short time, so I have gone in a couple of times so far and will go in at least once more before I go and get a green chili, chicken, papas, and cheese burrito and a big bowl of their green chillies as well to put in my freezer.
And the people are always so friendly when you go in, and you walk away with a big, fat, delicious burrito and then you leave full and happy! 🙂

The food was only ok. We also didn’t know we needed to order each topping a la carte, so we ended up with a tortilla of just meat.

I loved it!! I’m so leery of trying new places especially when I’m on driving road trips… But they were filling burritos , good seasoning and the salsas

I’ve heard it is a really good place to eat. The food was tasty, but we must have gotten there too late. They were out of anything to make breakfast burritos and the cooks didn’t tell the cashier. So what ends up happening is that you order and pay for food they can’t make, then your time is wasted going back through the line to reorder different things.
We will try it on a different day and see if it is any better…

Eddie’s Burritos is a must visit in Alamogordo. If you like burritos at all this is the place to go, very clean location, very friendly staff, you can even order ahead over the phone. The salsa bar has some good selections. The nacho options are also very filling.
Eddie’s doesn’t have a lot of options outside of burritos, but this is the key to their restaurant. They have focused all of their skill into a burrito menu that no one can beat.
If you are spending the night or just passing through Alamogordo and want to try something new, something unique to the town that you’ll never be able to try anywhere else, this is the place. You probably have seen the infinite amount of fast-food places that jump out at you in Alamogordo, but those are last resort options. You’ve had enough of those, but you couldn’t decide which restaurant you have no experience with is the best option. You don’t want to risk eating at bad restaurant, because you don’t know where people like to eat in this town.
Well let me tell you Eddie’s is your safe option. It’s the best option. Because it doesn’t stand out like a franchise does, too many people drive past it without ever trying them once in their life. Because it’s two minutes off of the main road.
I hope you eat here.

We are from Texas so we are used to Tex-Mex / mixed South & Central American cuisines. But after having had the food here I can say that we are delighted with New Mexican food and will keep sampling! I had the small pizole (red) and it was delicious! Hominy and pork were perfect and had just a slight heat (very mild). The red salsa was legit H-O-T and should be respected! (I asked for hot, I got hot!) The red chili beef burrito was great! You can really see the difference between the red sauces we typically get outside of New Mexico vs the New Mexican peppers that make the base for this sauce. The heat won’t likely kill you but should it, you will die with a smile on your face. The beef was tender and shredded, and as my husband said, made the perfect delivery system for the sauce! The tortillas were soft and tasted home made. I want to come back and try the green sauces next!!!

These two Canadians were looking for burritos for lunch. We were amazed and pleased at the friendly service. The food speaks for its’ self. It was delicious! Hubby had the barbacoa burrito and I had the taco plate. Sorry, no photos! It went down too fast!
Thank you, for the service and the delicious lunch ❤️
