This is a Fresno gem. This bakery cafe started in 1939 with a guy named Eddie, according to the plaque at the entrance. Upon entering, you’re greeted by a bell at the door, a long refrigerated display of cakes and pastries, and cozy Tuscan colors. Take your pick of in-house baked goods, Peet’s coffee, and breakfast/lunch staples like breakfast sandwiches. Find your seat among the locals and stay awhile, tucked away in the many tables, heated outdoor patio, or even a doored dining room. In one word, this place is charming.

Friendly staff. Nice, cafe-style vibe where you can take family and friends. Got an assortment of pastries. I forgot most of the names but remember their appearances and taste (uploaded a picture). All delicious, and fresh. If their full-size cakes are anything like their smaller pastries, I would be interested in getting one for a special occasion.
Also, they have a nice outdoor seating area with a fountain that is also insulated from the noise of the street traffic.

We’ve ordered the pink champagne cake from here about a dozen times, we’ve never had any issues but this time our cake started collapsing. We saw one like it in the display case so we made sure to choose a different one but once we made it home it was split and collapsing like the one in the case. A little disappointing

They offer a ton of options—everything from buttery danishes and turnovers (highly recommend the apple one) to fresh-from-the-oven sourdough bread that was calling my name! They have a full menu for coffee, lattes, chai – from Peet’s Coffee. A ton of space and they have a cool spot for larger parties. This place is dangerously delicious and was worth the extra calories. Cheat day well spent!

My experience at Eddie’s Bakery Cafe was great. They are very friendly and willing to help. They have great cakes pies and pastries. There Cafe the food is really good the cook and the cashier there at the café part are really frirndly and helpful. If you have questions about the menu they take the time to answer and explain everything for you. In the Bakery part. Every person is very helpful and friendly. The knowledge about there cakes and pastries and pies and breads. My Husband and I will continue to go back. It’s very comfortable and a great place to meet up. They even have a patio to sit when it warmer out side.

I really wanted to like this place. It is beautiful. But the service wasn’t as friendly as a cafe should be and the food was just ok. It was a cafe with a diner taste. I am a chocolate lover and I tried their mocha and chocolate cupcake. Both were very disappointing. I asked the counter girl what was on top of the cupcake and she said fudge. Since it’s a bakery I didn’t expect it to taste like icing from a can but it did. The cake itself was so cold and it seemed like it was once frozen. I ate only a few bites. The mocha had no chocolate flavor whatsoever, wasn’t sweet at all and had an aftertaste. There were a lot of happy people there and the place is pretty. I just didn’t think the service was good and nothing had prices or descriptions, not even the boxed stuff. You have to pick a number just to ask a question and the place is confusing on your first trip. I wouldn’t go back to try anything else.

I ordered my son’s birthday cake here and I was super happy with how it came out. Not only did it look amazing it tasted awesome too. You can order cakes both online or over the phone, which definitely helps with knowing all of the options. While waiting in line my husband ended up picking up a box of these adorable sugar cookies and sourdough bread, which I now regularly go back to Eddies to get. They do get busy in the middle of the day, but everything they make here is definitely worth it.

It was a cake I ordered it was supposed to be to be a banana cake with cream cheese frosting. The cake I received was a dried out frozen cake you couldn’t tell what flavor it was. I ordered it ahead of time thinking it would be fresh not frozen or way over baked. It was terrible and to top it off I was told we couldn’t add any decorating on it at all. And it was ugly when I got it. For the price I paid I couldn’t believe it. It was for my dads birthday. We served the cake and no one finished their piece of cake it was that bad. Never again will I get a cake from them.
