It’s a small grocery store that serves hot soul food ,breakfast everyday! It’s delicious! Best soul food on the east side! The groceries are kinda expensive though! Hot cokes food is reasonably priced and well worth every penny ! You won’t be disappointed!

I was in need of some fried buffalo fish- I took the ride to Washington Illinois and haven’t been disappointed yet! The family all have different tastes and everyone was satisfied. I had Buffalo fish, Mac/cheese and sweet potatoes, and green beans; hubby had ham hocks (they were huge and meat falling off the bone tender) sweet potatoes and greens (heard they are glory greens/ that’s a no for me); daughter had whiting, Mac/cheese and sweet potatoes!

They use to be good but they cooks most of changed. The last time I got ox tails they were tuff and the yams were salty. I gave it a min and tired again. The ox tails are more tender but the yams are trash. They need to stop putting salt in them. Where is the sugar? They use to be good!!! Smh
