Believe the hype!

I don’t write reviews unless the food quality is actually great. This is the freshest Chinese food I’ve had in this area, it’s exactly the nostalgic kind of Chinese food I’ve been craving and can’t find anywhere else. The serving size was perfect for the price. With the inflation you can’t expect to feed a family of four with $20 so it’s unrealistic for people to ask of that. However if it’s an occasional treat this is perfect!
The location is great, and the building is what you’d expect out of a traditional take out place. People are rude with their reviews because they expect something this place isn’t.
The egg rolls that everyone loves to complain about in the reviews are actually a very specific type of egg roll that their uncultured behind probably aren’t aware of.

The food looked and tasted like it was 2wks old. Most of the food was greasy and inedible. They used be ok 10yrs ago. If you are constipated this place is for you.

unfortunately most of the negative reviews are valid. fried rice looks burnt but tastes like nothing (no flavor at all, have no idea how that happened), the chicken dumplings were bland, the sauce for them was not like a typical garlic/ginger sauce, i dont really know what it was but i didnt like it. ended up making my own sauce for them. the egg roll was also very bland. the general tsos chicken was good!! they dont skimp on the chicken, its good quality meat, not over-battered, it is over sauced though and the sauce isnt general tsos, it reminds me more of orange chicken. very sweet, no heat to it. nothing was gross or offensive, but i cant imagine us ordering anything from here again.

Been seeing this place for years had no idea it was a Chinese restroom. Let me try it a couple days ago and the food was good. The prices were decent and the employees were friendly. Had the generals there’s chicken. It wasn’t anything extra special but it was good. Some of the pieces were like shoe leather but that happens at every single Chinese place I’ve ever been to. Most of the pieces were good. Sauce was good. The thing I really liked about this place is they gave me the option on the rice served on the side of the lunch special. I get up charge and get shrimp fried rice or vegetable fried rice or whatever. Most places don’t do that. I like that there were so many options when ordering online

It is one the go-to restaurants when me and my family need our oriental food fix. Not design as an eat-in restaurant, so one some days you would find that it’s standing room only. The food is tasty and worth the wait.

I don’t really want to review Eddies 2 Go: what I really want is Chinese food again. I confess I have not found it on the Peninsula since Ming Gate closed on Kecoughtan Road in Hampton—and how many decades ago was that? I’m not really searching anymore—just hoping, and paying too much for “fine vegetables”—broccoli?

The employees here may be Chinese, they may actually eat the food they prepare here—I have no way of knowing—it certainly is “takeout”—the employees seem to be hermetically sealed behind enormous plastic shields from ceiling to counter top, and even the little hole where you put money or credit cards in seem like the New York Automats of the 1950’s, all untouched by human hands.

The food is hot and if you call ahead, the estimated preparation time is very accurate. The Hot and Sour Soup is in the ballpark for flavor, but will not be written home about. The brown sauce is brown sauce. Two “House Special” meals and three soups ended up at nearly $50 before tip. I am really sorry this was not a “Eureka” experience—“if wishes were horses,” believe me I would say so!

Okay so I looked closely at the reviews and was skeptical but I am all about finding out for myself on if something is good/bad. The food was HORRIBLE. The woman at the front was not friendly. The egg roll tasted like wrapped up fried trash. The rice was burnt and flavorless. And when they say “honey chicken” in my mind im thinking okay it’s gonna be sweet but still somewhat savory. NO. It tasted like pure honey and the chicken was hard.

Been living here for years and I’m so sad I didn’t try this place sooner. Food is fire, and it’s quick and fresh, love this place!! Beef Lo Mein was my favorite.
