Amber, our waitress, paid attention to detail. She checked in on us often and had a quick chat with us. At the end of the meal, she brought hot lemon scented towels for us to clean our hands. That was a nice touch!
Amber’s friendly demeanor made our dining experience here more pleasant!

This was our second time at Eddie V’s La Jolla and it was just as amazing as the first. The atmosphere is elegant yet warm, the food is absolutely delicious, and every plate looks like a work of art. From the bread and appetizers to the seafood entrées and dessert, everything was perfect.A big thank you to Max, our server, who made the night truly special. He was attentive, kind, and stayed with us until the very end without ever making us feel rushed — even though we were the last table. That kind of service turned a great dinner into an unforgettable memory.

From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond they surprised us with a beautifully decorated table overlooking the ocean at sunset, complete with champagne, rose petals, and a “Congratulations” sign. It felt intimate, thoughtful, and truly special.
The food was incredible. We started with the lobster bisque, rich and velvety with the perfect depth of flavor. Our filet mignon was cooked flawlessly tender, juicy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The creamy mashed potatoes were pure comfort and the perfect pairing. To top it off, the team surprised us with a complimentary dessert that was out of this world.

I ordered the 22oz ribeye, a house favorite held in the highest regard, accompanied by the crab cake recommended by our server. My husband chose the filet mignon with the truffle macaroni and cheese, indulgent and decadent in the most luxurious way.
For cocktails, we selected the Golden Hour and the Smoked Old Fashioned—both executed with a level of craftsmanship that deserves applause. Silky yet commanding, these were not drinks; they were experiences. Easily some of the most impeccably balanced spirits we have ever tasted.
We were celebrating our anniversary, and were graciously welcomed with complimentary champagne adorned with rose petals, along with a handwritten card. Though neither my husband nor I typically enjoy champagne, this one was undeniably exceptional—balanced, elegant, and surprisingly delightful.

Our waiter was excessively trying to be nice. Also, the waiter didn’t check on us to find out how the wine was and if we needed another glass of wine after we finished the wine. Finally, the white vest that the waiter was wearing was not impeccable, it was not clean…it makes me avoid places like this. Perhaps, Eddie V can make sure that the staff follows the protocol. Other than these few disappointments, the food was excellent and the staff in front was very courteous.

This EDDIE V’s location is Magical, Gorgeous and Spectacular! It is my favorite restaurant in the world.
We were a party of 12 celebrating a very important 80th Birthday Party. Eddie V’s made our event so MEMORABLE for all of us.
1. Service made us feel like royalty. Eddie V’s treats customers like they are important.
2. Appetizers, dinner & dessert was all flawless-unbelievably good.
3. The most beautiful view in the world.
This event was very special for our family. I visited 3 restaurants to review for our event. Delany Whitesides, Manager at Eddie V’s, made me feel so special and confirmed that they would take care of us. She way exceeded our expectations. The other 2 restaurants I visited made me feel like I was one of several parties they would be taking care of….take a number.
Ramon, our waiter was so professional and great. What I loved about Eddie V’s is that even though this was a Saturday night, they did not rush us out. We were able to stay there without pressure to get out. (Note- The Marine Room pushed us out after 90 minutes during another visit).
I cannot say enough about how much we all loved our Eddie V’s event! I would give them a 10 out of 5 if I could. I have been to Eddie V’s 5-6 times in big and small parties and EVERY VISIT was perfection.

I’ve lived in San Diego for 5 years and always heard great things about Eddie V’s. Finally went for my 1-year anniversary with my girlfriend and it exceeded expectations. Our waiter was fast, friendly, and made the night easy. Lobster and filet were among the best I’ve had. Wine was solid and reasonably priced. Brussel sprouts could’ve used more flavor, and the lighting was a little too dim for me, but nothing major. They had roses, a card, and complimentary champagne waiting for us, classy touch. Sat outside and was pleasantly surprised there was no cove smell. Great experience.
