ECHT is really a coffee bar and restaurant that exceeds expectations beyond your standard fare. The coffee made here is expertly crafted and made with incredible detail. The chef at this establishment is bar none one of the kindest and most considerate I’ve had the pleasure of meeting.

This is the BEST coffeehouse/restaurant in Pittsburgh. This place gives me southern vibes. The staff is amazing, professional, personable and knowledgeable with the dishes and drinks!
A lot of Pittsburgh breakfast places lack seasoning on their food, but ECHT’s food is very well seasoned and will literally melt your taste buds! The presentation of the food is always top notch and looks like it belongs at a 5 star restaurant.
The owners are AMAZING!! It’s beautiful on the inside and they also host events!
This spot is perfect for meetings, business gatherings, or just to relax with enjoyable food. I can’t recommend this place enough! Don’t hesitate, come here immediately!!

My husband and I came here for breakfast. The location is out the way and in the cut. It’s truly a hidden gem. The atmosphere is amazing, very different. The food was PHENOMENAL. I was very impressed. This will be our new breakfast spot! They have lunch and dinner options as well.

Really a beautiful space! So many beautiful metal work pieces to admire. Turkish coffee was delicious and fun. Toad in a Hole was awesome, as well as the savory Crinkle. Can’t wait to go back and try more from their European style menu. Check out the metal smithing studio next door! The bathrooms are so cool too! We liked out experience here on Mother’s Day.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting James, the owner at Echt Coffeehouse in Pittsburgh, PA. When I chose Echt, it was simply because they were convenient to where I was staying. When I walked in, I was greeted immediately by a bubbly, friendly face (James), who happened to be the owner. it doesn’t hurt that he is part of the LGBT community. Nothing makes me feel more comfortable in an unfamiliar city, than seeing my people thriving!! This place was incredible. It Checked all of the boxes.

The coffee con panna with ginger and cocoa and chocolate and a little cookie is just delightful and the coffee is incredibly rich and delicious.
The French toast is really bread pudding but shaped into the cutest little bread slices. I loved everything about it, down to the lemon curd dollops. My friend’s mushroom strata was also tasty.
The space is incredible, and they do more than coffee. Just go spend time here and soak it all in. The staff is warm and they clearly love the place.

Absolutely fabulous coffee! The atmosphere is electric, clean and modern. The food out of this world.. potentially the very best breakfast ever. satisfying yet light and fresh. Knowledgable staff friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back and see this place continue to expand its menu and offerings. Such a great vibe!

An absolute treat! The owner served us Turkish coffee and told us a little about the cafe and other buildings and projects. Our food was delicious and beautiful. The decorations and atmosphere is the best combination of welcoming and industrial. Each piece is intentional and built on-site. You can even look around the workshop area. Such a fun and welcoming place!
