❤️ My partner & I went here for lunch & absolutely loved it!! This restaurant is so authentic & simply FANTASTIC!!
From the friendly service, to the homemade chips, salsa, guacamole and handmade tortillas to the fajitas & quesadillas – absolutely everything was absolutely DELICIOUS!!
On top of everything we got an awesome deal of 2-1 Margaritas and they were exquisite. I am a huge fan of margaritas and not were they generous in size but made to perfection.
We got the strawberry margaritas & they were soooo good!!
If you are in Tallahassee & enjoy authentic Mexican Food, then this is your spot.

This is the BEST Mexican restaurant in Tallahassee. I ordered the chicken fajita and it was perfectly cooked! Not at all dry, tender chicken and well seasoned. My wife ordered the steak fajita quesadilla and the steak was PERFECT! Not dry at all and so tender. My son ordered the chicken enchilada with rice and beans and it was perfectly cooked! Not at all dry and perfectly seasoned. Our waiter was a kind young man who was very attentive to our needs. 100% best Mexican restaurant in Tallahassee!

Stayed at a nearby hotel. Walked 1.5 miles. Can’t remember a place that gives u BOGO on beer and Rita’s on the rocks!!! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with care and professionalism. Esmeralda made me feel welcome and at home….listen for her giggle. Lol. The bartenders were jus awesome.Thanks to Marilyn for her kindness and beautiful spirit which made my visit top notch!!! Also, she hip me to the smoothest Blanco tequila I’ve had!!! Don’t believe me??? go there and she will show u!!! The molcajete was top notch flavorful. Please visit this place when your in town. If I can quote from the Terminator movie,

We’ve eaten here the last two Saturday nights, and loved every bite.
Al pastor tacos are my absolute favorite, and I order them everywhere and judge the restaurant by that measuring stick. These rank right up there as some of my faves ever (I have 3 other places here in town that I love relatively equally), but these are the best tortillas, in my opinion!
My husband’s chicken fajita nachos were super delicious, and my 4-year-old’s cheeseburger was simple but surprisingly very good. And we splurged on the churro ice cream dessert thingamajig, which was completely worth it.
This is definitely one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in town now!
*UPDATE* after a couple of years, and countless visits, Echalee has remained our favorite local Mexican spot. We do the happy food dance every time we eat here. Never had a bad meal!

For lunch $7.95 for two #1’s, two sodas total $22. So much food #1, salsa is amazing. Being Bahamian we like it hot and grow our own ghost peppers and reapers and their salsa has a hint of both but not enough to burn your Bungie those who can’t take it they have mild, but so good just right. Many compliments and thank you for the great food, welcoming service, fast service , quick order and atmosphere.

One of the best atmospheres of any restaurant in town, and the most exceptional staff— Erasmo is a living legend, he will go above and beyond to kindly get you the most beautiful, delicious and fresh food and drink. Bring your sweetheart and get the fajitas for two with handmade corn tortillas and maybe a couple of nice cocktails. It’s proper Mexican food in a great building with great staff and very fair value… what else could you ask for? I was very happy to spend time here and very satisfied with the generous servings of food. 10/10

I don’t hand out five star ratings lightly- I have been to Echalee several times but this last time was so good I had to post a review. We went before seeing the new Avatar at AMC this place is right next door to the mall and ITS VERY convenient. Chips and salsa were on point, as were the chicken street tacos and the stuffed poblano was one of the best I’ve ever had. This is my go-to dish by which all places are judged and it was excellent, stuffed with mushrooms, cheese and onions, topped with cheese and the perfect red sauce, I loved it and will definitely keep coming back. Oh yeah and they were fast too and we made the movie with plenty of time to spare!
