This was probably the 6th or 7th time we’ve been here and the best so far (and the previous visits were also excellent).
We brought a guest along who had never eaten Japanese cuisine and she was also very impressed. Our party consisted of two vegans and an omnivore. We love that there is a broad selection of vegan options on the menu – all clearly labelled. We’ve tried nearly all of the vegan options and every single one has been exceptional. Last night was no different.
The service is always attentive and friendly. Portion sizes are generous and food is quick to arrive. Tonight the meals tasted particularly good – the miso glazed aubergine from the favourites was a real highlight. It was hard to comprehend how aubergine could taste so creamy and flavourful.
We know this is a restaurant we will return to again and again. If we need to take someone out to dine – this will always be our first choice locally.

We have been here on more than 10 occasions – sometimes for a full, extravagant affair and other times for a quick katsu curry pitstop – but each visit is as good as the last!
The service is warm and welcoming, the sushi is freshly made in the open kitchen and the food is always presented immaculately; with plentiful portions and at the correct temperature – be it cold sushi or a warm katsu curry.
The katsu curry is particularly special, made with a generous portion of tender chicken breast with a crispy coating.
The chefs are happy to make adjustments to dishes and are upfront with any additional costs. This is another example of a local restaurant which – if it were placed into a big City – would be full day in and day out.
The only observation I would make is that with the constant flow of food delivery drivers in and out, (because the food is so great!) it does make for a chaotic dining in experience sometimes but hey, you can’t complain about a thriving, local business and it shows the quality and consistency of the food!

Ebisu is one of our favorite restaurants in somerset. Always top quality food and great service! Fish is always very fresh so perfect to eat raw. I absolutely love their tuna sashimi. Takoyaki, chicken karage, prawn tempura and every single roll we eat is always amazing. We are regulars coming back every few months! Good value and very diligent and polite waiters. Highly recommend.

We’ve been here several times and won’t hesitate to come back. Amazing staff who cannot help enough and also love to chat and make you welcome.
A brilliant diverse menu that always leaves you wanting about five items. And has great portions.
A nice atmosphere with great decor and is always clean and tidy.
And most of all the most amazing food. We’ve not had a single thing here that has been anything less than amazing.
