Very disappointing experience. As a delivery driver, I was treated with little respect by the staff. I waited nearly 40 minutes for a single order, and there was no communication or urgency from the team. The staff’s attitude came across as rude and unprofessional.
Delivery drivers are also customers and partners in the process, and basic courtesy goes a long way. I hope management addresses these issues to improve service and driver relations.

One of my favorite places in SF.
It’s not to big and not to fancy, but it’s perfect.
The food is just out of this world and all the staff are just amazing kind and great.

wowowow agree with other reviewers – don’t let the name or the outside foul you – this is the most unassuming sushi place but quality is amazing – 65$ omakase for nigiris that have the same quality as some well-known places in the city. We only tried one roll (caterpillar) and it had so much topping and filling.
Agedashi tofu was good – even the cucumber salad was super fresh and well marinated.
Love discovering hidden gems like this that take their craft very seriously!
Would come back when we feel like eating good omakase but in a casual setting!

Had lunch here today, and I enjoyed it! Very fast, and efficient service. The sushi was SO fresh, and the miso was delicious and flavorful. I also had a cucumber salad which was also delicious and refreshing!! Would recommend!

Wow, I have been eating sushi for 35 years and this is the third place where I was ever truly surprised and delighted. While I am not a real officionado I can say for certain that all the boxes got a check mark. Food, atmosphere, and staff were not just wonderful but really a cut above my expectations. I’ve never had makerel that was so mild but still flavorful. We had a type of poke salad with mixed fish and mixed greens and pickled veg that was fantastic. The atmosphere, the ambiance, the art, the lighting, the architecture is pretty darn cool as somebody found a way to integrate the dated and rustic concrete building which was likely a auto garage or something back in the day, with a sweet room modern vibe. The caterpillar roll looked like a damn caterpillar and the dynamite roll was the best I’ve had. I hope I’m not being dramatic. My sushi experiences range from Monterey, Seaside, Marin, SF, Santa Cruz, and Portland. Never been to Japan but after this sushi I ran home and started to research trips to Japan as I was inspired.

I was heading over to a place i used to have sushi, and they have closed. Then I remembered there was this place a few blocks away that I wanted to try. Happy I did so, though not busy for a Saturday night, the service and food were great. I was only going to have 2 rolls, but i wanted to try another. Well recommend.

I found this little sushi place as I do most of the places I eat at, walking to the movie theater. I love the dimly lit atmosphere. They might have just opened because it was very quiet in there and only 1 or 2 other people. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I ordered the spider roll and rainbow roll and they tasted so fresh and some of the best rolls I’ve had. I love a good spider crab roll but they’re usually so hard to eat because of their size but they managed to make it a more manageable size and very tasty. It was so good and all the fish on the rainbow roll was cool in temp and so fresh tasting. I guess I’d never really had a good roll because every bite was amazing. I wish the portions were bigger but I think they were the perfect size and I’m just being a glutton. With a beer it all came out to around $50 so not inexpensive but definitely worth it. I will return to try more stuff for sure.
