Went staying in Redondo Beach for a couple of days I visited Eat At Joe’s for my Saturday morning breakfast. Dating back to 1969 this iconic local diner served up a good breakfast experience. Great service from Bre, a fun American atmosphere and a tasty Acapulco Omelette. The coffee was good too. Price for my breakfast was $17 and a mug of Coffee was $4.50 Well worth a visit.

This looks like and has the vibe of an old school greasy spoon diner from back East – which is a compliment! A hustling and bustling somewhat noisy environment. I came at brunch time so we ordered both breakfast and lunch to go. The medium bacon cheeseburger was overcooked (all brown) and dry. The cheese, bacon, tomato and lettuce saved it enough to make it tasty. The breakfast burrito with sausage was a whole lotta potato.
Coffee was great and the had a small counter to eat at, or some crowded inside seating and some covered/enclosed outside seating.
Its reputation is better than the reality from my experience. I’ll have to try some new things next time. Also, I would leaned into the breakfast menus and lean away from the lunch options.

This place is nostalgic for me. I’ve been eating here since the 80s. The food is always perfect. Here are my favorites: Chicken Fried Steak, biscuits and gravy, turkey and avocado sandwich, Joe’s Special. Honestly have not had anything that was not delicious. The staff is great some of which have been working there for over 30 years. The prices are pretty reasonable too. The coffee is always just right and they will even give you a to-go cup.

I’ve eaten at Joe’s for years. Whenever visit LA I try to stop down. The decor has changed over the years but the food has remained a solid consent whilst my husband is a fan of the “Mad Dog”. Whilst I’m more of a pancakes girl. But what ever you choose it’s a great breakfast!

I had to asked to be served but the food made up for it. I love that they have a healthier menu and it was the perfect place for a quick healthy spot especially for diner food

We were happy to have found it open since our previous travels landed us there outside of their business hours. We were told to sit wherever and then learned that the long tables are shared with other patrons. The food was delicious and the hardworking staff was amazing! We’re looking forward to future visits

Amazing. The best. The Denver omelette was HUGE, and stuffed with cheese. I shouldn’t have eaten it all, but I did. I think the potatoes were fried in butter they were so flavorful. And, I could have eaten a loaf of the sourdough toast and the coffee was silky smooth. The prices were very reasonable. Nice job, Joes!

Pretty typical diner food at decent prices. Not worth going out of your way for but not bad I went.

Visiting from the UK and this was high up on my list, it didn’t disappoint. Fresh, tasty food. Great atmosphere. Caring and attentive staff. Multiple areas to sit. Lovely friendly vibe all round. Highly recommended.

A local diner down in Redondo Beach. I am giving it a 4/5 because of the limited menu options and ambience especially in comparison to other famous diners in LA. We had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated for a Saturday brunch, but the wait was worth it. They have seating indoor and out, but we sat indoor for our meal. The service was actually really great and our server was extremely friendly and very quick with the refills. They don’t have a parking lot but street parking is fairly easy to find in this part of town.
As mentioned the menu is fairly small and does not have a lot of of the classic dishes on it. I decided to go with the most popular dish, which is the John Wayne special and thought overall it was really good although the flavors kind of blend together with the sauce poured all over top.
Overall we had a nice meal, but due to limited options I would categorize this as a spot for locals versus going out of your way for it.
