Decided to try the spot for the first time and got the shrimp plate which came with two sides and a drink for around 16 bucks after tax. The shrimp was large, although it was more dry and chewy compared to other places that have their shrimp a little bit more juicy and soft. One good thing is that the batter wasn’t too much.

Showed up shortly after five. Both this app and the posted hours on the store said they closed at six. I called, but there was no answer. I’m happy to change this review once I eat there. I drove 17 minutes to get there.

tried this place on a whim & it was great! The catfish was seasoned well, fresh, & fried to perfection. I didn’t have to put anything on my greens. They were so good! Love me some fried okra & they didn’t disappoint. I’m so full & laid to the side typing this review lol I can’t wait to visit again! Oh yea, shoutout to Mr. Jerry Wayne. Thx for the hospitality!

DO NOT GO!! This was horrible! How can you mess up fried chicken?! The food was old and dry! The gravy tasted like flour water! The greens were unseasoned and old! The cake they gave was rubbery!! For two plates I paid almost $30 and I want my money back!! I try to go to local spots but never again!!

I stopped in the food was just getting put on the steam line everything was hot but not fresh !fish had been fried in old grease ! Ribs dry and tough and barely no bark or flavor profile the macaroni and cheese was salty and and oily the only thing worth eating today was the baked beans the poor guy working in there was working by himself no help running back and forth between. The line and the back to the fryers and to the cash registers great music Selection very clean bathrooms but the place was empty it had could have great potential if he had the help he needed and maybe if the food didn’t have a older taste .

Wow!! This met my expectations for soul food!! Visiting my friend here Hattiesburg from Texas, we were recommended this restaurant from a friend of hers. I was NOT disappointed. Jerry was super friendly, fast, courteous but the food was fabulous. I had the ribs, baked beans, mac and cheese and cornbread. And the sweet tea!? Wow, perfectly perfectly sweet!
So glad I stopped by here. Thank you!
Oh and the lemon pound cake was delicious too. My friend had their fried chicken, the crust was very, very tasty and seasoned just right. It was super crispy as well. If I lived here I’d probably gain 100lbs just by coming here: they do not skimp on the portions! Lol

This place is definitely a hidden gem in Hattiesburg, MS! The food is well-seasoned and the portions are worth every penny. Their hours make it convenient to pick up dinner during the week. Get the home-cooked meal without actually having to cook. Definitely a place to try out!

I will start this review off by saying the food is very acceptable, but the customer service is HORRIBLE! I’m in town for work and went to the location twice just to see was I tripping the first day. If I come to your spot and want to by extra sides because you guys are stingy with the servings then just sell me extra!! They put limits on how much food you can buy, if I have a family of 4 then I want what I want with out being told no. You would think they would be nice because this is the hospitality state but that was thrown out the window.. the food is good yall but the service you receive makes you want to just give the plate back and walk out.
