My partner and I went yesterday and we loved the pizza! We ordered the Ellison and garlic knots. The crust is not only black, but soft and fluffy. I love the texture. This is my new favorite pizza place!

Being born and raised in the North East side of Oklahoma city I had to try The East Side Pizza house, I remember when Pizza hut was our only option next to frozen store Pizza. We got there around 7pm ish and there was a line of 10 people or so and a few people waiting on their orders but the line moved quickly. I got the Ellison (named after Ralph Ellison look him up) Pizza which comes with the Black crust, an order of East side knots and a bottled water.
It didn’t take but about 10 minutes to come out to our table. We didn’t enjoy the knots because they were dry , not as in the inside was dry but the outside wasn’t brushed with garlic, butter or anything just crust. BUT the pizza more than made up for it. The Alfredo sauce was rich and creamy but not overwhelming and blended with the fresh toppings. I know you only want to know about the melaninated dough well it was delicious, no after taste and it was soft. Over all I loved the place , the decor and menu options. For me its the pizza box.
Pros: Great Food Great Atmosphere Affordable
Cons: Busy street and I am pretty sure they forgot to butter the knots.

I was really impressed with this little place. I had a black crusted build my own pizza with pineapple, spinach and bell peppers. It looked beautiful and tasted pretty good too. I want to come back on a Wednesday night when they have live entertainment. This place had some good vibes. The pics do not do this pizza or restaurant justice.

After talking with the staff member I took her suggestions and ordered a Solo Dolo Deep Deuce and small Caesar salad. She did not steer me wrong they were spot on. The Caesar salad was good but the pizza really shined. The crust has a unique flavor that you don’t expect but is great. The toppings were tasty and generous. It is a great spot for lunch.

This is my new favorite pizza in OKC. Recently visited Eastside Pizza House in NE OKC around 5:30pm on a weeknight. Ordered at the counter and pizzas came out 10-15 minutes later in boxes. We had a few slices in-store before we took the rest home. We tried the Jimmy Rushing and Deep Deuce pizzas. Both were delicious! The crust here is a little thicker than the other area pizza places and tastes great! We will be back soon and often.

My expectations were not very high due to the black crest, oh my gosh I was blown away. Pizza is just pizza so I thought but these people are on to something GOOD. Elizabeth was fantastic and so was the young man at the register service was amazing and the pizza was delicious!! The vibe is so nice, lots of history on the walls.

Best pizza we’ve ever had! Loved the black crust- flavorful! Ate clean (ie, no dripping grease from cheese). Beautiful presentation of ingredients. Our 6 kids liked it so much we will come back again on our way through!

Went in with high hopes.. was immediately disappointed. It is definitely a pick up and go place. They only offer can soda or bottle water. For 1.90 each. Wanted to try this black crust that they promote.. so ordered Eastside knots and two single pizzas. The knots came out doughy and I asked if that is how they are supposed to be they took them back and brought out new ones.. came out the same way.. so they offered a salad.. then said they would give money back.. thought they compt. Whole meal. But just gave money back for knots..

Great clean environment. A co worker mentioned about this new pizza place that opened this year and it is unique in its own way. Normally at every pizza place it comes with normal dough. This place has activated charcoal dough. Although it may look like it’s burnt at first it is not. Has many assortment of pizzas, sides and canned drinks. I would recommend trying this place if you want to try something unique.
